Console command for views, first person?

I know there is a console command for first person viewing, but I can't remember what it is. I ask this because I want to use my saber in first person mode in a MP game but can't because i'm stuck in 3rd person. Does anyone know what it is, or how to enable it?

thanks

Bring back the Rail Detonator! Besides an original way of doing the FPS mandatory misslelauncher, I miss attaching rails to people faces! I can't think of why in a million suns you would change it to the (giant acronym which escapes me). If you want a more Star Wars(y) feel, don't ditch the det. Get rid of the Portable Missle System(?)

I don't remember exactly what it is, but I have in my autoexec.cfg a bound command that automatically switches the view from first person to third person when I switch to kyles fists in SP.

Have a look in the jk2config file. You should have a key bound to toggling the view. Then take that command and put it in the bound command for selecting the saber. So you would do something like the following:

in your jk2config there will be something like:

bind CAPS "toggle cg_thirdperson"

bind 1 "weapon 1" // lightsaber

change this to:

bind CAPS "toggle cg_thirdperson"

bind 1 "weapon 1;toggle cg_thirdperson"

This will cause the selection of the saber to switch back to first person. Again, you'll have to look in that file to see what the actual commands are.

Frankly, I don't know why you want to have it in first person anyway. It would be very disorienting, especially when you start flipping around and stuff.

I'd like to see a good first person cam (maybe MotF has it, haven't tried it) that perminantly attaches itself to the player's forehead/eyes/nose area. In JO you can see parts of your body in first person, probably because the camera doesn't move with the skelatons animations. If it was truely connected, have this problem you would not. Rolling should make your first person view follow the eyes and get all disoriented while spinning.
