NO! FOR THE LOVE OF WHATEVER DEITY YOU WORSHIP, NO!

*calms down*

I suppose that COULD be a possibility, but one that I really don't want to happen. They might be trying to imitate a few scenes from the Star Wars Saga, but that would really, REALLY be pushing it... and rather unoriginal as well.

I agree with ol'wise burrie,

but i want a new star wars saga.I don't wanna see a father vs son storyline or some other family drama. Its been done before. You can't repeat or copy the 'holy trilogy'.Being theChosenOne,i rather not see another one appear-lol.But really,Anakin was the chosen one,not some guy you create a thousand years before hand.Every saga has a chosen one...thats good and all,but can't we get some other story ideas.Romance is cool, and the option to go to the darkside/lightside is way cool.Glad they added that.

Och, I personally wouldn't expect that a prophecy'll come around(although it might, I dunno). At the very least, I don't think that the hero would receive a title such as a Chosen One, but in a way, he is one. He is probably the only Jedi who can possibly defeat Malak or become one helluva Sith Lord. He has the curse of being the main character of the game :D

I kinda like the idea of the "Chosen One" of the game (There's always one, and it's usually the PC) being Bastilla. That way, perhaps you can take her to the Dark Side or keep her Light and whack Malak.

It makes the character more of a "Guardian" role, which is different from most games, and personally I like. That way, you get the ability to influence events, but you don't have the cheese of being another "Chosen One".

Whatever they do, I'm pretty sure it'll be pretty good.

Regarding the whole Bastilla do the darkside thing. I think a good story arc would be that a romance developes between the main character and Bastilla, she falls to the darkside, takes Malaks place and becomes the BIG BAD.

Her BIO makes it seem like she was the potential to be a very powerful jedi, and if done right the fact that your main character USED to be romantically involved could cause there to be more conflict besides the common "bad guy is stronger than me", cuz there will also be "I'm in love with the bad guy and I would like to bring them back to the person they were"

The only problem with that is that the main character can also be a girl. Otherwise I think that would be a pretty sweet plot.

P.S. Female BIG BADS are always cooler.

That's a thought that has crossed our minds on a few occasions :) Although I can't say that I had thought of Bastilla actually killing and becoming the bad guy... mmm, that'd be quite a twist... well, we could always have Mission Vao as the romantic interest :p

To be honest, I personally wouldn't want it to happen that she really became the bad guy. Yes, I do want her to go to the Dark Side, possibly join Darth Malak, but still be redeemed, one way or the other.

BTW. To refer to the "Did Carth train under Saul" topic that was discussed in this thread before, I just saw this interesting tidbit in the bios...

From Carth

Though he will not speak of it, a very personal betrayal has affected him deeply. Duty called him to fight the Sith, but now outright hatred threatens to replace it.

Now check the final paragraph in Saul's bio

Many that remain loyal to the Republic trained directly under the admiral. For them, the coming conflict has become far more personal in nature.

Coincidence? Mmmm, I wonder...

Coincidence? I think not.....:D

IMO, I hope to see Bastila go to the dark side as others have stated, but I would also like to see the option of taking her down with me or keeping her on the light side as I do.

On to the Carth-Saul discussion. This game just keeps getting deeper. I am now officially going to lose my life when this game comes out. :D

I just can't wait to see how this story plays out. I'd love to see the two fight each other, but I really could see Saul taking out Carth. Sometimes it just seems that these things fall that way. Then that could leave the PC to deal with Saul.

*goes to do more speculating* :p
