Burrie
Although I can't remember wether Dooku ever beats Mace in one of the EU books(and I would like to say that I have quite a bit of knowledge on this subject ), I would think that he was prolly beaten by Dooku in a training match or something... I doubt wether it's a sneaky spoiler for Episode 3... I highly doubt it.

TheChosenOne-
Dooku did use two lightsabers against yoda in EP2,but it was cut out of the movie.Sorry but i really don't think Mace is all that.In the comics,he mentioned that Quinlon Vos was more powerful,so powerful in fact that Mace couldn't sense him nearby.Or the fact that quinlon vos but the fear of 'god' in mace when Mace discovers vos has gone toward the darkside. My two cents worth,Yoda is the best.Different aliens have different control and powers in the force.Plo Koon is bad ass,and KI-adi mundi-with his two Binary brains, has a different force style then the others, plus ol conehead was trained by Yoda. I would like to use aylaa secura in battle, shes great.Aurra Sing, the jedi slayer, keeps her slain jedi's sabers as trophies. She is truly dangerous. As a quick tidbit, the dual-wielding Dooku was kept in the comic adaption of Episode 2. Interesting information you've got on Quinlan Vos there. I can't remember ever reading Mace Windu say all those things(then again, I have yet to read any comics that feature Vos, besides his cameo appearance in the EP2 comic adaption). Could you please give a small transcript of the actual conversation? Still, I personally would think that Mace is stronger. George Lucas DID state that Mace was second only to Yoda. Also, here's a small paragraph from the New Essential Guide to Characters which could show that Mace is considered to be a powerful Force User... The story goes that Mace Windu was once ambushed by fourteen Gank killers, who surrounded him with weapons drawn. Not even a Jedi Master could deflect that many blaster bolts at once, but Windu slowly turned to make eye contact with each Gank, placed one hand on the lightsaber hanging at his hip, and spoke only three words: "It's your decision." One by one, the Ganks lay their weapons on the ground. Mind you, it doesn't add much to the discussion, but it does show that Mace is a rather well-known and dangerous Jedi. Eep, to kinda steer the thread back on-topic, I personally would've hoped to make my character a bit like Kyle Katarn, 'tho I think a whole lot less agressive and cynical. TheChosenOne-
Whats a Gank killer? The Quinlon vos "story arc' lasted a few issues. It ended with a battle between mace and Vos.Vos was getting more into the darkside and Mace tried to stop him.Mace explained that they were both jedis and the force and all.Vos only wanted to kill the gangsters(?)that screwed up his mind.Mace got too close and Vos pulled out his saber and they dueled.Mace only blocked the attacks,as Vos's mind started to conflict between good/bad.After a while,Vos stops. And surrenders. After a re-training session, and a mission with his old master,Vos used the force lighting again against a dark jedi/sith warrior guy who said that" force-lightning is only used by those comsumed by the darkside".Vos won after,i think a quick duel or something.I'm looking up the issue numbers,it might take a while. You also said Quinlon Vos was in the Ep.2 comic...really.Never saw it or read it,but now i might have to go find it.The Quinlon Vos story issues, were like a six part mini-story called something.I gotta go find those,i'll post the issue numbers and names. When Vos was introduced,Mace and i think adi gallia or that other chick from the counsel were checking out stolen creatures from Maces homeworld that were being used for sport.During a fight in a alley,Mace and whats her name met a old lady, who seemed nuts. She said it was good to meet Jedis, all three in a day.Mace and "Adi' were like theres two of us,the granny said she saw another, then Vos appeared.Mace was surprised and impressed that two counsel members couldn't sense him nearby. After a intro,Mace said something like your a powerful master, heroic and brave or something. His deeds were well talked about in the counsel.Damn--i gotta find that comic. Mission Vao and the wookie make a good team huh.....maybe i'll use them with my character, kinda like farscape--Dargo,Crighton and Arin.
Thrift
Darth Maul I would love a character that can pull of a flawless butterfly-spin
TheChosenOne-
I read a comic mini-series that featured Maul and he was incredible. He wiped out a sh*t load of bad guys and creatures. His use of the force was fast and lethal. My favorite part of that series,is after Maul gets a bad battle wound, the emperor asks--"Lord Maul...how is your wound'' maul replies-"There is not pain where there is strength".......
