Question

Recently, I've made a recording of myself playing guitar and I've stacked it. I saved the file as a .wav and I'd like to post it on this forum...but I don't know how. Any help?

(PS I posted this in the harbor because this is the only place people post, as far as my knowledge. Is that valid enough?)

Anyway, if you have any help, please post.

I guess you can buy an attatchment at the LF store, and put your music in a zip file, and post it in the attatchment.

I do not know how great that would work, but it's worth a try, imo. I have been playing guitar for around 2 and a half years, and I'm always interested in hearing other people's music.

The other way (less damaging on your credits too) would be to sign up for some free web space from Tripod.com or Geocities.com or any number of places, upload your file there, and post a link here. People might have to use some jiggery-pokery to be allowed to download the file though - pasting the link rather than clicking on it directly generally works. :)

If you want to get a bit more complicated, you could use a program like CDex to covert the .wav to MP3 first, to save people some download time.

Good luck. ;)

My dad got a program which he uses to convert MP3 to .wav (to put on a CD to listen to in the car) and it does it backwards too. It's called Musicmatch Jukebox and is free for download here. Choose the basic version, it doesn't come with everything, but it will let you convert files and it's the free version. Then just do what Huz said with hosting. I found that the best thing to do then is just post a link to the actual file and those wanting to download it can just right click and 'save target as'.
