Johnny-Rico
just use a func_button select the button and the elevator press ctrl + k and thats all . You got the button set all u got to do is set the time and the angle ect.

Shotokan
That won't work I'm afraid... You can't connect a func_button to a func_plat or anything for that matter. If you want an elevator with a button, you'll need to create a brush that looks like a button onto your elevator and place a trigger in front of the button. Preferrably the same size or bigger. Right click the trigger and make it a trigger_multiple. After that, press 'n' to bring up the entity window and check 'use_button' (I think that's what it's called but if not, look for something that says "use"). Alrighty you should now have a working elevator with a button.

Johnny-Rico
lol fucn_button and trigger_multiply with use button flag are almost the same except the movment of the button:)
Shotokan
Not exactly... With a trigger_multiple with the use button flag you can actually create a switch on another func. With a func_button it will only be a button and cannot be connected to another func. Or did I misunderstand you? LoL I'm common for that... If I did, care to elucidate your statement for me? wedge2211
Func_buttons fire their targets when they are "pressed." So yes, you can connect them to other entities like func_doors or func_plats.
Shotokan
O I'm saying that you cannot have a func_button on a func_plat. You know... Sorta like grouping it. Or making the func_button part of the func_plat. Hehe but that wasn't his original question anyway...
