Sunshine Badass
Somehow the mIRC channel got muted today. No one is able to speak and it is quite frustrating. I was able to chat in it earlier today, but later on, my chat privileges were removed by a certain someone who will remain nameless at the moment. All I can say is that the channel was working around 1:00pm at -7 GMT time. After a little incodent and some abuses of power, my ability to speak was disabled and I was promptly removed from the channel. I know who was to blame for my chat privileges being stolen from me, but I cannot place blame for my being removed from the channel. I had a server issue and was unable to join again until later on in the afternoon, where I, Jackrabbit, Goose, and Leemu Taos discovered that the room had been muted. This could be attributed to the leader meeting on Sunday, but this is clearly NOT Sunday now, and the channel was working splendidly before this afternoon. As this thread implies, we need a mod to "correct" this "oversight" immediately so that the =A= can get back to communicating in real time again. This has been frustrating using the Query command to have private chats with mIRC users and =A= members today. I would appreciate it if this issue could be cleared up soon. I suggest the addition of more users with moderator status in the mIRC room in order to fix problems sooner in the future. I am usually in the room quite often, and I hereby volunteer for moderator status of the mIRC rooms. I will fix problems such as this before they become issues. If anyone feels my request for mod of the mIRC chat is a good idea, please post here with your support. P.S. I apologize for volunteering for mod status... but I just want you to know that I am available to do it if you find my request for more mods of the chat suitable. Thew Rydur
I agree the channel could use a mod. I know the leaders can mod it when they're on, but most of the time they aren't. Making someone who is usually in there a mod seems like a good idea to me.
-=ReApEr=-
Ok i am sorry about that, what i was meant to do didn't happen. I would like to move the room to Gamesnet where you get chanserv a room bot. You can type !up then you will get voice or op etc etc. And sure sunshine if you want to help out i can give you half op privilages, where you can kick etc. So you have my full support on that. Sunshine Badass
Thank you Reaper. I look forward to doing business with you. Surely when you are not in the room, I will be. I can make sure this does not happen again.
Sunshine Badass
*Bump @Reaper: 1.) When are you planning on moving the mIRC to Gamesnet, and will the old chat still be left behind? 2.) We need to set up a time to make me a channel operator, unless you can "OP me" without me around. In that case, get to it, Reaps! :D
Taos
If the channel was moved to gamesnet [there is an empty channel called #associates] people could be given "permanent" status there so there wouldn't be a problem like this.......just to let you know.
