InnateEnigma Posted June 27, 2003 Posted June 27, 2003 Well I got on but all of the Human faces are striped like a zebra. Black and white horizontal lines across their faces no skin color. I have no other graphical problems. Does anyone have any Ideas on this and how to fix it? Thanks Jasre Wegil
toolfan Posted June 27, 2003 Posted June 27, 2003 I dont know about you, but I think funny looking faces are pretty sexy. just kidding, in all seriousness though what Graphics card do you have?
InnateEnigma Posted June 27, 2003 Author Posted June 27, 2003 It is a HP pavilion ze4200 laptop win xp mobile intel® Celeron® ---1.80 ghz It is 512RAM but I believe it is shared with the video card whatever that means, and if it makes a difference video card 64mb adapter type: IGP 340M chip type : ATI RS200m Thanks for any input. I am not sure what type it is this is the only info I could find.
-=ReApEr=- Posted June 27, 2003 Posted June 27, 2003 I don't know if Atis is supported, what other games can you play on your laptop?
mark12099 Posted June 27, 2003 Posted June 27, 2003 I have the same problem.. Everything else is fine.. except human faces are.. They are BLUE! Its kinda scary.. Otherwise.. everything else looks great.. I have a ATI Radeon 9000..
Deft Aklin Posted June 27, 2003 Posted June 27, 2003 ATI's especially 9000 have problems, try going to otpions in the Launchpad. Select graphics and disable Pixel shading. This should fix the problem.
InnateEnigma Posted June 27, 2003 Author Posted June 27, 2003 Well the only other game I have on it is Freelancer and it works fine. All the graphics seem to work on SWG except that humans have the striped face very annoying. Even on the character selection screen it was like this
Deft Aklin Posted June 27, 2003 Posted June 27, 2003 Not a problem, I have a 9500, and every now and then the tiles bug out, this is how I fixed.
[Dom_Pmd] Posted June 28, 2003 Posted June 28, 2003 This is a memory issue, Devs told us that if you have less then 512 you will get this error... however you won't get that in the character creation process, for that you can have 256 and it wont bug out, but once you step into the "world" the gfx glitch will occur.
BobaWP Posted June 28, 2003 Posted June 28, 2003 I love how cutting edge technology for a computer cant get the color of a humans face right. Pretty bad if you ask me;)
Kenshin Himoura Posted June 28, 2003 Posted June 28, 2003 I just got a Radeon 9600 Pro 128 mb. Will I get this problem? I need to install this vid card b4 I can play the game.
Danyx Posted June 28, 2003 Posted June 28, 2003 You need the 512 mem. The faces in this game are coded to be very expressive. Turn the camera on yourself and type /rolleyes It's my favorite emote. Change your moods either in the abilities taskbar or type /mood happy or /mood angry. There's LOTS of different moods and most of them have expressions. That's besides all the facial emotes for actions like /chuckle and /blowkiss
HexFet Posted July 1, 2003 Posted July 1, 2003 I have a Radeon 9000 pro and I had the same problem until I went and downloaded/installed the latest driver for my card and opperating system. HexFet
