Ryre Solos
Still unable to actually play the game myself at this moment, I have a rather basic question, that we probally all wonder now or then What are the costs for dying? Exp? Credits? Hm? Thanks
Taos
Well, if you've gone to the cloning facility and cloned yourself, the cost is virtually nothing. Your energy levels will be down a little bit. If you have yourself cloned in a different cloning station then the one you just respawned in [after dying] your energy levels are reduced greatly. But still its worth losing a bit of energy, at least you can carry on living.
Ryre Solos
People make it sound like it's something really big. hehe. Doesn't sound that bad. Unlike you FSCS... You die, you die. No ifs, ands, or buts Thanks
Dathan Surehand
Actually it IS a big deal. Reaps is right when he says you get to keep playing, but when I went to Pay for cloning (at the beginning of the game you get three freebie deaths) it was I think 16k. You simply don't have that at the beginning. So it is important to stay by your initial cloning station as you establish yourself.

Deft Aklin
Best answer: If you die and you are not near your 'bound' cloning station, the cost is around 50% wounds, if it is still like beta. You get three freebie deaths, which should not have any bearing on the bound cloner issue. You bind a cloner by going to the clone station and paying to have it bound. 1,000 credits in Beta. Stay close though, and always remember to change it when you travel. 50% wounds is a lot, and will cost far more than the 1,000 credits for a medic to heal you up. So be careful, and it is worth it to bind. Or, you can be like me of course, I have only died once, which was by no means my fault. One of my party members strolled a little too close to a red con group. No one listens to me. Eh, he learned his lesson though, at my expense. lol With care and caution, you're three freebie deaths can last a very long time. I had one of my PA members go through all of beta without ever using all three. Only used one in fact. The witches of Dathomir are not very forgiving. Ryre Solos
Hm. Alright. I think I get it fully now. Sort of like when you have to drag your body a long distance, or get someone too, you need to pay some sort of price. Stupid example on my part. But atleast I get it now. Laugh.. SWG has alot of newer features that none other do. Should be itneresting to see what EQ2 brings to the table.
