Now there's one excellent preview, but damn... they oughta can it with the humongous spoilers that they're giving away... perhaps I should stop reading these previews as well :( In any case, some of the more interesting non-spoiling tidbits...

I'm not going to reveal too many details about the story, but it's most excellent and certainly more gripping than anything found in Episodes I and II. The narrative is well written, with a killer twist. It truly feels like an epic galactic adventure.

Woohoo! A game that might be about as epic as an entire SW trilogy! For all we know, KotOR is the third trilogy that Lucas was always referring to :p

Part of the reason the story works so well is that it has some outstanding characters. There are loads of aliens, smugglers, Jedi, Sith, gamblers, heroes, and villains for you to encounter. The cream of the crop is the nine non-players characters (NPCs) that join your party. As you progress your adventure you'll have all sorts of aliens, humans, and druids at your disposal. Most of them have well-written dialogue and fantastic voice acting, making them seem more like a movie character than a game character.

Old, but still fantastic news.

There were three that really stood out to me: Mission Vao, Juhani, and Mission Vao. Mission is a young Twi'ilek street urchin that joins up with you on Taris. She serves as the naïve and innocent youth that keeps things lighthearted. Juhani is removed because of mayor spoilers HK-47 is an evil assassin droid that despises humans (he refers to them as meatbags). He has some great one-liners and acts as the comic relief.

Three NPCs that really stood out... Mission Vao, Juhani and Mission Vao... eh? In any case, Vao sounds like a more interesting character now. I had expected her to be a veteran Han Solo-type, but she's apparantly more innocent and curious than one would expect. Juhani is also shaping up to be a fine addition to the team(my possibly favorite) and HK-47... well, I think many players are waiting for this certain droid.

But the preview also contained one big spoiler, which could be a mayor clue about what the game is going to be about...

hat said, there are also parts of the game that seem influenced by Japanese RPGs. You must acquire five Star Maps before facing the main villain, which sounds an awful lot like collecting four crystals before facing the bad guy. There's the moment towards the end of the game where, after a moment where you begin to doubt yourself, all the NPCs tell you how much they believe in you and your quest.

Gee-zes... why can't they cover this information up with a spoiler tag?

A spoiler is something like "And during this part of the game, this person will tell you to do this and your character will have these 3 choices [insert 3 choices]. If you pick this one, this will happen, if you pick the 2nd one, that will happen, and if you pick the 3rd one, this would happen. You come to this situation about 1/4 into the game when you meet this guy on this planet."

Thats what I would define as a spoiler to KOTOR.

Yes but most of us want to be suprised right from the beginning and enter into the game knowing absolutly nothing of what is about to happen in the beginning or anything else. We want to be suprised and say "Ooooo" and "Ahhhh" and "WOOO I GOT THE DAMNED GAME AND KNOW NOTHING" which leaves more excitement to put it in and peel open ur eyes and stare in amazement as the story un-folds piece by piece
