Owl
I honestly think this game is going to be the greatest game I have ever played (besides Grim Fandango. I don't think anything will ever beat that.) So, during the remaining three days, I have been busy, and plan to continue, looking up every single scrap of new information on KOTOR. While doing this, and listening to the soundtrack, I got to thinking. Take a look at the English language (and most other languages). It's a pretty crazy-ass language. 4,000 years ago, our language was barely a language at all . 500 years ago, it was still an extremely different language. Hell, it was still pretty different 70 years ago. Now think about about what our language will be like 4,000 years in the future! The language we speak now will probably be entirely obsolete! Now look at Basic in KOTOR. It's not very different from that which is spoken in the films, is it? In fact, it doesn't seem to be different at all! So over 4,000 years Basic hasn't changed a bit. What a stubborn language. --Owl
Jedi Apprentice
When a language is millenia's old, it doesn't always have to change. One-thousand years in the Star Wars universe is probabaly more equal to 10 years of our language.
BooJaka
Besides, it's called Basic. Making it more or less complex would just get confusing.
