DashRendar
Ah...don't know if this is old news or not, but I figured since no one at this point has mentioned it, I would. It appears they're releasing a new game, based on the movie Pirates of the Caribbean. It's supposedly a hybrid RPG, here's a linky to the game's site: http://pirates.bethsoft.com/main.html
Sherack Nhar
The graphics are pretty sweet, especially the water. Reminds me of Elder Scrolls III (no wonder, they were both made by Bethesda). It's a licensed game though, so I am sceptic and will remain so until I see the game for myself.
Zygomaticus
I've always been skeptical about games that try to capitalize off of a movie's success. They're almost always failures. Can't remember one such good game. hmmm...the old MIB game was pretty engaging

Can't remember one such good game. I feel exactly the same way. When I saw the title of this thread I groaned.
WolfmanNCSU
From what I have heard and reviews that I have seen, its a really good RGP. Its not based on the movie, but it is inspired by it. I want to give it a look at, but I dont have the money to buy any new games at the moment. So I guess I will just hold off.

lukeiamyourdad
The games looks fun. However it has heavy stability problems. The X-Box version has regular slow downs and the PC version has regular crashes. This game was supposed to be SeaDogs2 but Disney bought it and renamed it. So the game was not inspired from the movie at all.
Zygomaticus
Yeah, when a game is made off of a movie, they rush in to make it and hence they most always have bugs or stability problems. And they are almost always 3rd person or 1st person shooters. Given that they say it's part RPG, this might be worth a look.

Redwing
I don't know if you guys were paying attention, but the game was not originally intended to have anything to do with the movie, but as a sequel for another game called Sea Dogs. It still doesn't have much to do with the movie. It does seem to be a good game in its own right however.
