muhajireen
I dont know about the use of guides really. I mean they dont really let you explore, its basically like a list of instructions. I would rather make my own mistakes and take hours on a puzzle then look in a guide, it defeats the purpose of buying the game. Only bringing this up to see what your opinions are on the Prima guide and the guides they give you online.
Katarn07
Well, it was 20% or 30% off and the last one available where I picked up my KotOR, so I snatched it up. And I'm glad I did. It has everything the manual should have contained. Character info and planet info were excluded from the manual. I am quite sure the PC version since it will be boxed will get them in it. I also look at the back where all the items are shown. It forces me to explore more and more saying, "Gotta get that, gotta get this. How can you beat Malak without a couple of these?" Unfortunately, the only cool thing I have found is from a dead foe that everyone must face.... Anyhow, I don't look upon the quests unless I have passed them. I have pretty much looked at all of them now since I am on the final mission, on the last part. I have chosen my path and there's no going back now But, when I do Darkside, I'll look at the guide and try to do every quest and see what gets the darkest/ lightest results. muhajireen
I guess they do put less in consel manuals because people just want to get into the game or something along the lines of this. I will probably be to broke to buy the guide, but what do you think about the online guides you get from gamefaqs and here. I mean they go into detail about subjects, there only trying to help i guess.
Com Raven
The guides you get here so far are the very same as over on Gamefaqs Basically, until we write our own stuff, we just ask authors of guides we find on the web if we are allowed to put them on our site
Darth_Kyle
Is there a website i can find the guides on?

boinga1
I've been trying to get a guide, maybe not even buy it, just to look[i/] at it, but I'm giving up hope after the third store...
ChazMonro
the only reason I would even consider getting a guide is for maps. I like the map function in the game, but when your in a city and theres like 4 or 5 different areas, I'd like a master map that showed everything. Dantooine would have been a nice map to have, those areas were huge, and I still don't know exactly where everything was. I spent a lot of time walking and fighting Kath hounds. muhajireen
i know what you mean about the map, it would be pretty cool if you had an overall map for all the planets but it could also ruin it for you becasue you will do less exploring of the area. i guess its a trade off between the two really. boinga1 how come they didnt have the guide from where you brought the game. boinga1
I didn't buy the game...but if I had an X-box, I could have bought it at Wal-Mart (although they didn't have any guides)...a game store in the mall didn't have either the game or the guide on the 19th, and that was where I had expected to find a guide.
