Darth Stryke
With the exception of the one on jk2files.com, does anyone know if a model of Boba Fett's EE-3 blaster rifle has been released? The one on jk2files.com had the tag misplaced and was oversized as well, so I did not want that one. (Whos ever seen boba with a laser firing from his crotch?) If there isn't one, i guess ill be off to the requests forum.
Emon
You could just import the model and fix the tags yourself.
Darth Stryke
I am considering that, but I would also have to resze it as it was modeled too big and then the author did not resize it. Then that may affect the textures on the weapon. I'll try it though...
Psyk0Sith
Rescaling the whole object wont affect textures, its when you move faces and verts around that you will mess up UVW coordinates.
Darth Stryke
Thanks for the help. I guess I will have to hold off the urge to modify it except to resize it. (hope its accurate ) The few saber models I did, I textured the hard way because I do not know how to do all of the unwrapping and such, so I sectioned them off-which is very limiting. Emon
Eh? Moving vertices and resizing should not affect the UVW mapping. Perhaps in 3ds max, but Milkshape will stretch the textures accordingly.
Psyk0Sith
Yes it will, (ok very slightly) depends on how much the object is changed. But the whole object rescaled = no change at all.
Darth Stryke
I rescaled it to a more appropriate size and got the flash perfect, but I cannot get the weapon tag right. His left hand is where his right hand should be and his right hand is holding the rifle by the stock. Also, how does one get models to appear in first person mode? The guy who made the original didnt do that so I see the ST rifle in first person POV.
