FredThompson
I have a full mirrored copy of this site dated May 21st of this year. email me if you want a copy. I have no idea what you had added but apparently a hard drive puked on ya. update - Well, I've just checked all the "classic" Lucas games sites I'd mirrored and it sure seems the whole lot went down. As I recall, and this occurrence sure seems to validate, there were a lot of domains all really going to the same server. In any event, I've got offline mirrors of: Escape from Monkey Island (http://www.escapefrommi.com/) - The one appears to have disappeared from the web, actually. International House of Mojo (http://www.mixnmojo.com/ http://www.mixnmojo.com/mainpage.html) The World of Monkey Island (http://www.worldofmi.com/) Unofficial Sam & Max Website (http://www.samandmax.net/) Understand, these are not the actual files as used by the server(s), these are locally mirrored replicas. Remi
Well, the HD is actually being restored as we speak (allegedly) so I think we're ok. The main issue is that we need the databases restored - the actual content I mostly have backed up on my HD. Thanks for the offer though, you must have a pretty large HD. ;
Joshi
I doubt you'd be reading this, but if you are, what of each of these sites do you have exactly? I mean, surely, you can't have all the fan stuff from worldofmi, or all of the stuff from mojo and so on? can you give me a vague list?
FredThompson
Guess you forgot there's a flag to get email when replies are posted... There are 8 or 9 Lucas games sites that total just under 5G in a larger adventure games collection that is around 14-15G. Forums usually aren't mirrored unless they're full of hints. Joshi
Actually, I also use that email system, but most people find it annoying and turn it off. Anyway, my main question here is, worldofmi fan art, don't suppose you got all that did you? Only that was hit pretty hard by the server crash and a lot of actual artwork went missing. I lost 3 pieces (well actually, loads more in total, but I had backups of all but 3) and I'm sure other people have suffered the same if not similar fates. So, any idea? I'm not getting my hopes up of course, all that together would take up about 1G if not more.
FredThompson
I have that as it existed on March 21st of 2003. The fanart folder is 45M with 776 files. Looks like a few things were awol. What are you specifically looking for?
Joshi
I as such can only benifit from getting 3 pieces of artwork which you may or maynot have. I can tell you that if you were to contact ken@worldofmi.com and tell him that you have these files, he will benifit greatly from tehm considering he only has files dating up to february of this year and a lot of stuff went missing as a result. if you have things he's looking for he may be very grateful. *EDIT* I've raised his attention to this thread, so things may start happening soon.
