remixor Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 Yo there rode I don't think deadworm was saying anything negative about non-remake amateur adventures in general. After going through this whole thread, I think the concern was more about poorly made remakes ruining or not living up to the reputation of their retail counterparts. I've got a feeling your current project has nothing to worry about. FOOOM!! Hey! What's the big idea? I find your lack of faith disturbing. Oh crap!
deadworm222 Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 Rodekill: Either read every single line carefully - especially yacek's last post where he comments on the off-topic subject, or just forget about it and be happy.
twifkak Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 Well, I only ever played one non-remake amateur, and I really liked "earwig is angry."
rodekill Posted September 9, 2003 Posted September 9, 2003 deady-> Touche. I suppose 'serious' and 'quality' could be taken any way though. I consider Pleughburgh (sp) (seriously, I can never remember how to spell it) to be a damn good amateur game, but some people probably wouldn't, considering the primitive graphics. Well, anyways, here are some games most people seem to like. http://www.agsforums.com/games.php?action=detail&id=11 http://www.agsforums.com/games.php?action=detail&id=250 http://www.agsforums.com/games.php?action=detail&id=140 http://www.agsforums.com/games.php?action=detail&id=120 http://www.agsforums.com/games.php?action=detail&id=115 http://www.agsforums.com/games.php?action=detail&id=33 http://www.agsforums.com/games.php?action=detail&id=34 http://www.agsforums.com/games.php?action=detail&id=35 twiflak-> Thanks. Really appreciate it. I never expected such a positive reaction to Earwig. Guess I've gotta do another one some time, huh?

Always a slippery slope.
