  1. No problem, Bee. That scene was most excellent flirting/emotion capturing between Lei and Revan. :) At any rate, I haz returned home (after an eight hour drive, parent shopping at a mall along the way not included D: ), and shall enjoy the comforts of my own bed!

How goes Bee's life? Have a most Merry/Happy Christmas, by the way!

  2. No problem. I speculate that most threads in the Political Discussion subforum will quiet down- almost immediately. :p

Also, nice find with the Obama tax cut.

  3. No, I don't have school today, but I forgot to turn off the alarm. XD So I smashed it and went back to sleep. :p

Action scenes, as in bar fights or lightsaber duels? I'd try to capture the emotions in one's head at that time, as well as some complex moves/tactics.

How do they teach us? Well, I'm lucky to be in one of the best schools in the state (for public education), so I've got a bunch of motivated teachers. However, at the end of the year, our 'progress' is measured by our test scores, and the school rewards those that 'improved' the most. What's backwards, though, is that you could be the best simply because you 'improved' for 66% to 99%. However, you've left yourself no room for improvement.

The problem with that is that schools are awarded part of their funding based on improvement in test scores. Therefore, if you've got a bunch of high achievers that get 97% as the average for one year, you've left nearly no room for improvement.

    How is education in Malaysia?

As for the Cantina, I'll give you a hint as to what I'm working on: Dxun. Think of it what you will.

    Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! 你好马?

  4. No, I'm sorry Bee. I just finished my homework (cursed band concert!) about ten minutes ago. I've got to finish my history project tomorrow, and then I'll download it.

One last question: do you need headphones (I'm kind of lacking in that department. >_<)?

  5. Noble Sabre du l'Orient, this is most deplorable indeed! I must tell you of my topics for my most recent project (it involves everyone's favorite socialist republic, for a hint) and of midterms!

Hmm. I'm not sure how the week will play out, but I can most definitely try and shoot for a one tonight (Friday at the latest, I should think).

  6. Nonono, that doez not count, BumbleBee!

I've got a year or so before I start. Science? What field, dear Bee? o_Q I really have no clue what I was thinking about. I like history and I thought that I wanted to do something with the law, but I've really got no clue. What does Bee wish to do with her life (or what did you do)?

Oh noez! Meh first born bebbeh? I iz sad nao, Bee. Saaaaad. :(

  7. Not Asia nor Europe, but 100% USA material (I've got the FDA sticker to prove it, too!). :xp:

I haven't heard the song you've mentioned, but *shrugs*. School is... well, I don't really need to describe it, do I? It's tortuous enough just to go for forty hours a week (or so).

  8. Not everyone's favorite country, nuclear weapons, instability, corruption and all?

    ****. >.<

Edit: huh. Forgot that word was censored here. :xp: However! Skype is in the near future, good sir, so fret not. Discussions are to be had, discussions are to be had.

  9. Not much, really. Exams are coming up this week, so some fun studying to do tomorrow (today!).

The name itself? I dunno, really. I remember using it a long time back, and it's stuck ever since. I can't recall the specific creation of it, but I think it cobbled together some surnames that I had heard.

  10. Nothing, as of yet. Still in high school. :p

Thanks for the link; I'll check it out when I'm not about to pass out from lack of sleep.

As for going back to college, I'd definitely recommend it. My father ended up going back to college not long after he married my mom (she more or less forced him, but that's another story), and I'd say that it's helped him a great deal as life goes on, especially in times like these.

  11. O, hai Bee. Do you go "buzzzzz, buzzz, buzzzz" like a bumblebee?

On a more serious note, I've seen you around, too. Just never any direct contact.

  12. Oh, Bee. Are you referring to your little friend again? I thought we agreed that she should be locked up and never let out. Never.

    :xp:

It's true that what I said was harsh- and I never mentioned that you needed a good education to do well in life. Google (a site started by two college dropouts) is a testament to that. I believe that the IB program would be most suited to my way of thinking, as opposed to the mass-education that's regularly practiced.

Destroy, in this context, means that Bush has nearly destroyed America's standing in our world (for the next few generations, at any rate).

Dragons are very cool. I don't know much about the Zoidac (except the legend that tells how the animals got their place, if I remember correctly). In Europe, however, dragons were feared, whereas in China dragons were the epitome of awesome.

No problem. I'm worried that I won't finish my entry- I didn't get home until two-and-a-half hours ago (5:30 PM compared to my usual 3:00). Either way, I'll do my best.

Also, what's this I hear about a temporary job? Bee's got a job. You need to work with Bees, by the way. It'd be fitting.

No problem for the review. I love your writing, and I'm glad that you're posting up your work. :)

  13. Oh, but of course I have! It's just that homework takes priority over slothing about. :(

I'm not a punk rocker, or anything. :p It's the school's band. Of course I read the terms and conditions. *whistles innocently*

Yeah, my name is a bit long for a battlecry. At least you can shout "Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" and it sounds like a legitimate war cry.

  14. Oh! And now I remembered what I wanted to tell you about (oh, the joys of random memory recalls).

Today in TOK (theory of knowledge; less fun than it sounds due to class and teacher, but that's a story for this weekend), we were talking about emotions and whatnot, and the topic eventually led to a small discussion about how "souls were the essence of humanity" (I'm not quoting verbatim, but rather the consensus of the class). I objected, and wanted to site Russell's Teapot as a fancy way of refuting the class.

My question, then, is this: is Russell's argument a reductio ad absurdum fallacy (can it be argued as such/is it really said fallacy) or is it something else entirely?

  15. OHAI Sabre, and the GLORIOUS NATION SABRISTAN! you shall never infringe upon the great Netherlands sovereignty and if you try to do so I shall plant incriminating evidence so that the EU shall marshal up its foreboding armies and march across your soon-to-be-not-so-glorious-nation-of-SABRISTAN.

    :carms:

  16. One day.

One day, and the trumpets and choir of the Sovetsky anthem shall ring throughout Skype.

One day, and the freedom of Winter Break shall arrive.

One day, and Gods of School will grant a reprieve.

    One day.

    One day.

  17. One of my better friends is nocturnal: he says that the more sleep he gets, the worse he feels.

Well, I was out one day (was sick), and my teacher apparently called the rest of my class retards (don't worry- most of my class is pretty stupid, and they bait her every. Single. Day. It drives me crazy that we learn maybe five words a week.

Aww, thanks Bee! The reasons that my classmates don't like me is because 1) I ask so many questions and 2) I do well on the tests (shocking!). Although, something bothers me: my school might be getting an IB program (looks good so far), but they won't be getting an IB Chinese teacher. So, if I pursue that course, I've gotta switch over to Spanish. :(. Major :(

Jeez, your leader sounds like an idiotic one. I bet he and Bush would have a great time together! They'd have a nice barbecue in Texas, cooking the animals they just shot. >_<

Also, I found this site in search for a translator. It looks pretty good- perhaps I'll just start teaching myself Chinese. :xp: Of course, I've got a friend (same nocturnal friend as before) that taught himself Chinese over the Internet. Crazy, right?

Bee! I'm working on homework for History right now- it's about Medieval Europe. Boooooooring.

  18. Only for two more nights of misery fun (this night included, as I shall be heading off to sreep momentarily). We're heading to Magic Kingdom tomorrow, after having visited Epcot (it's an acronym, actually, for some kind of Disney-Utopia) and the Animal Kingdom.

I must regain my honor, Good Sir, but it is not that night. For now, I sreep, and plot against the Evil Forces of Satan Sabre, so that my knights shall slaughter your pawns!

  19. Ooh! A job interview! I wish you good tidings for said interview. May you destroy the competition, and come out on top.

What is the interview for, if I may ask?

As for the left-wing extremists, they've recently decided to vacate Kavar's, leaving us to fend for ourselves. We must rally reason and logic to our cause, and defeat these neo-right-wing-extremists. :p

  20. Our army is all volunteers, if I remember correctly. As for service, I find myself being sickened when I see a political add come on: from State Senate to the United States Senate, and from the Governor's race to the House of Representatives. Even in the Presidential ads, all I see is, to simplify, "The other guys is un-American/sucks (reasons inserted randomly), and I'm pro-American (reasons always inserted here). Vote for me, and not for the other guy."

I find it incredibly sad that we've reverted to smear tactics in order to help run the country (however, I'd argue that over half of Washington [thinking optimistically] is in it for the power).

Bread and Circuses seems to be welfare and television of today. The Federal Government is mandating that everyone switch over to High-Definition by February 19th. Welfare, though not an ample amount of money, still exists for those in need.

How might taxing the middle class keep the poor working? If anything, I was under the impression that FDR helped pull us out of the Depression by creating federal programs, which hired workers, etc. From what you're saying, I assume that FDR had other plans at work?

  21. Our power grows, Rev! I thank you for your support. We have many a member now supporting.

    Victory for SSPP!

  22. Pshh. When the book says "East Asian Empires" they really mean Ancient China, Japan, and India. Even the book's Islamic chapter didn't mention Malaysia (though, it did show a map of the spread of Islam, and Malaysia was mentioned!). It really bothers me that the teacher suddenly decided to take this approach to learn, but I already voiced my opposition to him and he blew it off.

Enjoy Max Payne! May you achieve victory through many levels, and defeat your enemies with a quick trigger/key tap. :p

As for me, my school is out today for the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur, so I get to sit here and work/procrastinate by surfing LF.

    Also, a picture for Bee:

    Bumblebee.jpg

  23. Quite good! So as long as I only talk to people on their computers, I shall have free communication!

How goes The Obscure Circumstances Surrounding the Death of Sir Richard Raleigh Wellesley, and the Ramifications Thereof?

  24. Quite perfectly, Sir Ruler! o_Q I shall do my best to keep the sun and water away from the metal.

How goes your life? Psychotic, as well it should be? Also, kudos on your fic in the Cantina! It was long and some sentences were bordering-fragments, but enjoyable nonetheless.

  25. Quite so, Sabre! BumbleBee, I believe the correct question is 'Mr. Bee can haz genetic materialz?' :xp:

As for choosing our major, I believe that you can hold it off for a year or two, but I wouldn't push it much past that. You'd lose too much time, I dare to say.

If only I had baby Siberian tigers... :p
