  1. It’s a very long game, I just had a very free and open weekend to play it with the early release. I’m also ashamed that I forgot Last Crusade in my ranking but remembered the Zynga game…
  2. Here’s my overall Indy game ranking (I can’t believe I forgot Last Crusade) 1. Great Circle 2. Fate of Atlantis 3. Infernal Machine 4. Emperor’s Tomb 5. Last Crusade 6. Fate of Atlantis port on the Staff of King’s Wii Disc 7. Lego games 8. The side-scroller games 9. Desktop Adventures 10. Atari 2600 Raiders of the Lost Ark 11. The text adventure games 12. I’m not going to pretend like I played the Adventure World Facebook game they made, but it would go here. 13. Staff of Kings (two words: piano crane)
  3. I’ve only played about an hour so far. As an Indy fan I can’t stop geeking out over the game. The tutorial had the perfect location to kick off the game. I love the Easter eggs, particularly at Marshall College I'm not ready to say it’s better than Fate of Atlantis, but it’s getting pretty close.
  4. That’s the equivalent of installing nearly 800 copies of Fate of Atlantis.
  5. Why isn’t there a pancake offering called “The Great Circle”?
  6. Lemmy is in the game, 10/10. But seriously, it’s a decent game, amazing soundtrack, excellent cast. The RTS is ok, not my cup of tea. Although the final RTS battle was way too difficult, it echoed the Meat Circus in Psychonauts for me.
  7. I think they’re doing more marketing than Dial of Destiny ever did
  8. It’s amazing that 25+ years later there’s still new details that I am learning about this game.
  9. I wonder if Doug Lee is still available…
  10. The voice acting for Marcus Brody is the most spot on. This looks to have everything I would want in an Indy game, I’m feeling optimistic about it.
  11. This is incredible, I am so excited to see how it all turns out. I have the Rune Realms album of Fate of Atlantis but this feels so grounded into the game that I am reliving it. I would love a place like this to just discuss favorite video game music. They’re my favorite instrumental tracks to just vibe out to.
  12. Ok I finally finished it. My new rankings are: 1. MI1 2. ReMI 3. CMI (honestly the first 3 rankings are all a toss-up) 4. TMI 5. MI2 6. LMI 7. EMI
  13. If you told me 20 years ago that I would get to play in a fully immersive 3D environment in the world of Monkey Island it would’ve been my dream come true. BUT…If you also told me 20 years ago that Disney would end up owning the Monkey Island franchise and release a game with Guybrush I think I’d break my brain comprehending the entire thing.
  14. Really well done, there’s a lot of new information that I have learned from the developers of the game. Bob Mackey also did reviews of all the Lucasarts games for the Retronauts podcast, and I highly recommend those as well.
  15. I just ordered an ebook copy and have been reading the PDF of the book, not the best solution but it’s working for me.
