Close, but you're off on one detail. Ray: Sorry. I wasn't playing right: *(Gives control of the plane to Lexx's boobs. Borrows a dollar from Neil and pays Ray to duct tape Roy the rest of the way up.)* *(Organizes the stewardesses to take control of the plane and hijacks the whole thing to Tahiti.)*

Zoom Rabbit
For those who aren't sure what Neil's talking about, I picted a representation of the hindu monkey god Hanuman (or Hanumat) behind the word I. What appeals to me the most about the story of Hanuman is his continuing, undying devotion to Sri Rama--an incarnation of Vishnu, and a manifestation of what we westerners call God. To me, that devotion is the most important lesson Hanuman brings us...and if I were to take a sterile western approach to the matter, I might be tempted to say that Hanuman is a symbol of the divine in man, with that devotion being the mysterious key to it all. So why is Hanuman being used in a pict here? Because when I say to Neil that I would welcome him back to Aresen any time, I wish to express that it is my higher nature--this divine within man--that compels me to do so. No, I wasn't making fun of Hanuman because he's a 'monkey god.' For more on my thoughts about Hanuman, check out The Monkey Sutra, which is handily linked in my sig. Hallelujahgobble. Wow, I always looked up to him because he could fly. that's just awsome, you don't mess with a monkey like that. Oh, and Vishnu is a god, not what the wester world would call The god. We as hindus have many, and different families worship diffeernt gods. My Family for instants worship Krishna which is why our greeting of choice is alwasy 'Hare Krishna' where as my aunt worships Jayubeh, and therefore greets people with that. and the same goes for Vishnu and Hanuman. There is also ganesh who I'm sure many of you have heard of as being the worshiped god of choice for Springfields own Apu, ad so on. But Nice to know some people have an interest. Zoom Rabbit
Can we hijack this thread into a religious/philosophical discussion? Hm. Seems we have already. I didn't know you were hindu, Neil. That's highly cool. Re the Trimurti. Granted, hinduism isn't one cogent religion with a codified Bible-type standard, and views on this can vary from sect to temple to individual. Forgive, then this humble christian's view on the matter, but I've always based my understanding of the hindu gods on the Trimurti, or hindu trinity. Bramha would, of course, be God in the infinite sense (and pretty much what most westerners mean when they say 'God.') Vishnu is the second of the Trimurti, the preserver who comes to the world in human form to guide His creation's progress--the basis of avtarvada, for those sects which subscribe to it. If I moved my christian butt to India, I would probably associate philosophically with the Vaishnavi sect. Shiva would be the third of the trinity...but Shiva's a whole other discussion. So, unlike Ganeshji or Hanumanji...Vishnu symbolizes a direct manifestation of the Trimurti. At least to my western based understanding of the matter, groping as it were for trinity in the dark. Note: Hare Krishna, eh? You simply must read the Monkey Sutra! You'll appreciate its message.
