Praetorian
That's right boys and girl. The game I've been waiting to hit the PC for almost 4 years will arive TOMORROW. It was bought out by Microsoft and ported to XBox instead of the original plan for PC. Yes that's right, it's HALO It hits stores tomorrow, so make sure you pick it up. If you thought the XBox version was fun, the PC is going to be awesome. EDIT: I knew I forgot something... linkage
Darth Homer
You'll have to exuse me for disagreeing, but Halo on the pc will only differ from the Xbox by a couple levels, a couple new guns, & more vehicles in MP...not worth it if you already own Halo on Xbox If, however you have missed Halo for Xbox (and what self-respecting Xbox fanboy loyalist owner has?) it should be high on the list of must-get games. Praetorian
You have to realize though. Those extra levels, guns, and vechiles are very nice, but even if they were not in the PC version I would still by it for one reason. You get to use a mouse and keyboard!!! I play FPS a lot, and I never liked the idea of FPS w/ a controller. FPS are meant to be played on keyboards and mice. You get much better control, much better responce times, and much better accuracy. I greatly look forward to using the sniper rifle w/o taking forever to line up a headshot. EDIT: I realized I linked the wrong site earilier, that on is good, but this is better gearbox and a preview gamespy preview
edlib
Ugh! Too many games I want being released at the same time, and not enough time to play any of them! It's not fair! I still need to get: Jedi Academy Tron 2.0 Homeworld 2 And now: Halo Helllp!
WolfmanNCSU
I think I will just keep it on my XBox.
jediduo
Homer, you have to realize that some of us college students are too poor to go blow 300 dollars on an Xbox. (I would actually have to buy a TV, too.) If we already have the CPU, then this is a godsend.
another_trooper
Wow, I didnt know that ! It looked pretty cool on the Xbox, but i dont own a xbox so . . . Ill be sure to get it for PC !!!
Praetorian
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!!! I played it last night and WOW! Just using the keyboard and mouse brings new life to Halo. It runs great, granted I had to turn down my res. to 800x600. I even got it to run on my brother's 650MHz, 384MB, Geforce2Ti. 733MHz is the minimum. I had to turn graphics all the way down, but it is playable, and gameplay always beats out graphics. The save system is great, you can save it at any checkpoint and have as many saves as you want!!! That means you can have a saved game at every checkpoint in a level if you want! Now you can finally replay that one part over and over, w/o worrying about hitting another check point and ruining your last save. I also can't wait till people start cranking out new maps, new mods, etc. The new vechiles are sweet and the flamethrower...well, it a FLAMETHROWER. It's just plain awesome. I did run into one problem though. You can't join the same LAN game if someone else is using the same CD Key as you. So my brother and I can't play together. I don't want to spend $40-$50 on another game. Anyway, I could go on and on, but I'll stop. Summary, using the mouse and keyboard is worth it ALONE. It is worth the $40 I spent. (it would have been worth the $50, too, but it was on sale:D )

StormHammer
I'm waiting for a Halo demo. Been stung once too often by hype, and so I'm a lot more cautious about new games. Even old, million-seller on console new games...
Praetorian
I understand your caution, but if you enjoy first person shooters, you'll get hooked by the demo and buy the game. Halo is the BEST combat gameplay ever. It really is that good.
