I know how to change things and open the file and all that but I am stuck on how to actually put it back with the modified lines, How do you pack it back up and add it to replace the old??

Make a zip file and place the new npc files in it following the same directory structure (re-create it somewhere and then add it to the zip file). Then rename the .zip to .pk3.

If you want it to replace an in-game thing, just make sure it comes alphabetically after assets, so assfeel would be valid for a dirty example while asscot would not :p

Are the rebornfencer, rebornboss and all those reborns even in JA, I remember them from JO and in which case OI wouldnt update them with my settings.

Can anyone explain to me step by step exactly how to edit these npc files correctly so no errors occur in game. I am almost at the point where I know how but I can't get them back in the assets1.pk3 correctly, any help would be greatly appreciated.

lmao very funny.

on a related note, one solution i often use to organize .pk3 files is to label important files with a "z" (or sometimes several, depending on importance). for example:

"regular-file.pk3"

"z_important-file.pk3"

"zzz_very-important-file.pk3"
