The Grim Fandango Player Diary

No!

I never ever want Grim Fandango 2!

That was just perfect.

Maybe it ended too soon. But what could you possibly add to make that story more perfect? I don't WANT to know whether Manny and Meche make it to heaven. That's their business. That's their life. I helped them get as far as they did, and from now on, it's all up to them.

I don't want to know anything else.

I want Psychonauts, and I want it now. But I refuse to support Grim Fandango 2. Besides, if popular belief is correct, Tim Schafer wrote every single line of dialogue for that game. Now, assuming that he never returns to LucasArts, that means Grim 2 would be written by somebody else. That means it will never be the same. Ever. I've heard at least three different LucasArts employees state in interviews that Tims games are his "babies". Nobody elses.

Less is more.

Except in the case of correct punctuation, where more is really more after all.

You're right. I don't want Grim Fandango 2, either....but you know what I do want?

I WANT A FREAKIN' MOVIE!!!

No, it doesn't have to be a full-fledged movie-theatre, nation-wide movie. Maybe just a product that you can pay for and download. All computer graphics, of course, and maybe even the original cast! Grim Fandango would make a wonderful movie.

Of course, those are pipe dreams. What's more realistic, though, is an upgrade. Something that polishes, upgrades, improves, maybe even changes ( for the better ) the textures and models in game. Imagine Grim Fandango (no, don't wet your pants yet) now imagine Grim Fandango with graphics comparable to modern day video games. Oh, it would be God.

GOD I TELL YOU!
