Thrawn
Dearest friends, and people I've never seen before, I have survived my first set of real college tests. Despite being told by my military history professor that he expected us all to fail and that we'd be better off shooting ourselves in the head, I believe I did ok. And by the way, I'm still alive in general.
edlib
Yikes! Here's a blast from the past! Wow! How've ya been? Where've you been? Yeh,.. we're all still here, from time to time. It's mostly quiet 'round these parts nowadays, though. Good to see you again.
Jem
Military? By the way, how did your B.A. go? Did you set any new records in that Atari game (forgot the name, I gave up trying to beat yours...) What's up? How've ya been? Where've you been? Kinda surprised to see you here... it's cool Random smiley for this event:
Thrawn
The only military activity I've been doing is playing MOH and BF1942:) I got my IB Diplomma! You needed 24 points total to get it, I wound up with 32. I have no idea how I passed the pyschology test, but I'm not complaining. Studying for those tests, working during the summer, and getting ready for college had basically kept me away for so long. But I have returned once more, glad to see there are still some friendly faces around! Jem, you mean Phoenix? I haven't beaten my own record yet. But then again, I did that record on an actual Atari and not the emulator. Also, I must shamelessly promote a website that I'm a staff member for. http://www.thewiseguys.tk It's great to be back! Admiral Odin
welcome back. (Interesting two people I haven't seen in a long time from these boards pop up today)
Jem
I have a midterm in 31 hours on Data Structures and I've only studied 1 chapter out of 7. And yes, it is another midterm on Sunday morning. However there is gonna have some kind of fun into it. Daylights saving time is coming up and I'm sure that some students will totally forget about it and arrive an hour late for the midterm. Teehee. (By the way, I was completly unaware of this a few hours ago but was lucky enough to be warned by a friend.)
Keyan Farlander
Hey Thrawn, great to hear from you. Where are you going to school?
Nute Gunray
Real college tests are far easier than expected. In fact, I'm doing better at Big State U. than I ever did at community college.
Jem
Oups I made a mistake, the midterm won't be an hour earlier but an hour later. So... do I get an extra hour of sleeping or an extra one of studying?

Flying Beastie
Grand Admiral Smurf! You're back! Yay! And this was the first year since living here that I actually wasn't caught flat-footed by the Time-change. Jem, how'd everything go?
Jem
It was "meh". It wasn't hard or anything, I just didn't study well. but still, it went ok. Time-Change always creeps behind me and violently kicks my in the arse. EVERY TIME. Even when I thought I was prepared last night it still kicked me. I set my computer clock back an hour but totally forgot that it does it on it's own. So while I was asleep it went back an hour hence back 2 hours from the original time. And OF COURSE my alarm clock is in my computer... I had a backup alarm but it went off a half hour early and I just switched it off, telling myself that I would just sleep some more until my computer alarm went off. which never happened. But, miraculously, I ended up waking up and rushing to Universty. (The fact that one of the buses I have to take is extremly rare on Sunday mornings didn't help the rushing...) Last Midterm next wednesday.
Admiral Odin
where I go we don't have midterms only finals. Midterm grades are used only as a reference so students can see how they are doing. When Finals come about the midterm grade is erased.
Flying Beastie
I have only one class this semester. My midterm is Tuesday afternoon. I'm not even nervous; I'll study tomorrow morning. I'm doing my essay on Sherlock Holmes. Elementary indeed. Then I have two more barely-noticeable quizzes, and the final is a take-home. Could this be any easier? Jem
In my History class I have 1 project, a midterm and a final. They're all take home. Attending class isn't even necessary.
Nute Gunray
The best was back in fall 2001, I stopped going to my psych class because of this one girl. I missed like four tests. We were allowed to drop one, so I was down to three tests I missed. My prof let us make up any tests we missed, so on the day of the final, I took four tests. I went from like a 20% in teh class to an 88% in three hours.

Nute Gunray
There was an unpleasantness in late September and I skipped almost all the classes in October and November.

Thrawn
Sounds good. We can work it out later. I just noticed that my post count is down to next to nothing. I was 4400 the last time I posted before the long silence. Did my posts get lost in the blackhole of forum updates?
