Hi:

I have PC KOTOR on my 'watch' list at IGN, and they emailed me that their guide was open for public view for a week. You can find it at http://guides.ign.com/guides/480687/index.html .

I don't know how much spoilage there is there, but I assume there's a walkthrough and strategies you might want to forego. I was most interested in reading about the character types and attributes.

On that note - have you thought about what character type you'll play? I'm pretty sure I'll play a scoundrel.

I'm rethinking as well ... I love playing the Paladin in NWN - and model my JA characters in that line. So a soldier / guardian might be my line. But I like the thought of some stealth and persuasion I missed in JA, so that was my thought on scoundrel. I've read that Scout is useless ... and not useless. I've read scoundrel is too weak ... and not too weak. I've read that soldier gets too few feats and skills to enjoy the Force powers enough ...

... in other words, everyone has an opinion, as always ;)

I doubt I'll tire of the game quickly ... and my joy is truly on the light side, so my repeat play will be character based, not light/dark based.

... only a week or so now ...

Anyway...I need no guide. The Force is my ally... :p

I don't want to know much of anything other than what I've seen, which is surprisingly little.

I've been so busy taking care of playing other games, learning to play RPG, about d20 and AD&D ed.3.5, and so on that I've come away pretty unspoiled - other than knowing the name of the planet where you start.

My interest in reading the sections of the guide was to learn about the pros and cons of the various character types. The Sorceror I'm playing in NWN now is all custom settings, unlike my first Paladin.
