Rumor Posted November 5, 2003 Share Posted November 5, 2003 The COG Network is pleased to announce our POWER OF THE FORCE Jedi Academy 1v1 Duel tournament. The tournament is scheduled to start at 430pm EST on November 8th, 2003 and will feature some of the best Jedi Academy players found on the internet. This tournament will feature a 1v1 Duel format stipulating Sabers Only and Full Force. Each round will feature pre-determined maps to be used which will be announced at the pre-match meeting. Other additional tournament information will also be given at a mandatory pre-match meeting. The meeting will be held at 400pm EST on the day of this tournament. At 400pm, each player will meet on the COG IRC Tournament Channel and will receive tournament information and elaboration. The COG IRC Channels are found on the Gamesnet.net server. We currently have three channels: #thecog.tournament, #thecog.network, and #thecog.support. An IRC client can be downloaded from mIRC at http://www.mirc.com/get.html. Players who are not present at 400pm EST will be removed from the tournament bracket. In addition, Administrators will also be on hand in the COG TeamSpeak 2 server. TeamSpeak 2 may be downloaded from http://www.teamspeak.org <http://www.teamspeak.org/>; . The IP for the public server is 207.65.162.27:8768. Please do not log-in as a registered user unless you have already registered on the server with a COG Administrator. During the Tournament, support requests must be made in the #thecog.support channel. We are using a separate channel to help facilitate support requests and separate it from the usual conversation that takes place in the tournament channel. Prizes will officially be announced in the Pre-tournament meeting however they currently feature COG trophies for first place, COG medals for second place, and COG t-shirts for third. These may be changed at any time. The news stated that its a 4v4 but it was changed into a 1v1 Full Force tourney. Anyone can sign up and the Jedi Academy community at the COG is fantastic and very active.
