XERXES
I swear if anybody ever tells me "may the force be with you" I will beat them. I dont see a problem with it in the movies though.

lukeskywalker1
those are good questions marker. just so you guys know, star wars isnt real. And another thing, why are only Jedi & Sith's allowed to have lightsabers? Lightsabers would be very useful for people in the landscaping industries, think about it. Forget cleaning those hedgetrimmers or chainsaw, use your lightsaber ya freak. It's low maintenance & costs less than a penny per day. :-) Something i never understood was why its "dangerous" in the hands of someone who isnt a jedi. I mean, they make it sound like right when they turn the saber on they will stab themselves... if you can hold the blade straight you'll be fine. They dont look that heavy. DarkLord60
Originally posted by Gabrobot "May the Force be with you" is not referring to someone’s connection to the Force...it's referring to the force being on your side. (Remember all that Force will stuff?) Lightsabers are somewhat hard to make, and are hard to use without killing yourself or chopping off an arm, or something. They are completely useless to most people. There actually are other energy tools and stuff that are basically energy blades (but not as "sharp" as a lightsaber). The games have blaster bolts slowed way down from how fast they really go. They really go just as fast as projectiles, and a Jedi can detect things before they happen, anyway, so projectiles don't make it any easier to kill a Jedi. In fact, it would be harder, because you've got to worry about ammo, reloading and stuff, that you wouldn't with an energy weapon. There aren't that many Jedi (and they really don't go rampaging around killing a few hundred stormtroopers and Dark Jedi and stuff like in the games...), and since there isn't any way to train troops to fight against Jedi (fighting against Jedi requires incredible skill...like professional bounty hunters such as Jango and Boba Fett), troops are never trained to fight against Jedi. The troops can just fire at the Jedi or run in hopes that they can escape alive. Thats exactly what I am trying to tell ppl.

I personally find you calling me the "dumbest person" you know rather ironic not only because of your broken english but also considering you didn't even read this entire thing through before you went leaving derogatory commentary towards others; And if you did read the whole thing through, it's certainly not something you probably want to go telling people. Look, if you want other people to respect you then stop playing holier than thou. So far you've been a rude jerk who hasn't contributed anything that anyone wants to read. If you're going to go off on a rant then please make it either funny or at least on topic, you weren't close to either one. I started this thread so people could get a good laugh - nothing more. Most SW fans say "you need the force to weild it" but why? The actors playing these characters didn't need any force powers, there wasn't any movie magic to make them swing those sabers that way, I think it's a big copoff tbh. Even if those actors did have some movie magic & call it the force, Boba Fett used a lightsaber against Vader at one point. He got 0wned of course but still, the point is you don't *need* the force to use a lightsaber, it helps dramatically of course but you don't need it so I think that they should make some of these stories a bit more realistic, that's all. If you want more canon, Han used Luke's saber to cut the tuan taun. You don't have to be Jedi or Sith to wield a saber. You might have to be one to master it, but not hold it and swing it around. And I'd like to point out that all living things have the force, just some are able to control it

Iblis Reborn
in the movies they talk about the will of the force and how the force can tell you the future so if the will of the force is on your side id say your doing pretty good and as for the projectiles thing maybe its easy for a jedi to push the bullets back at you before they even get close to him maybe even before they leave the barrel so your gun explodes and you die im sure theres some good reasons...aside from the real one thats just that they look cooler as lasers of course

MTFBWYA Ya this thread is dying but tbh, I didn't expect it to get this many posts to begin with so it's all good. class clown = actually I was the class clown. Anyways, hope you guys got a good laugh at this. Originally posted by Iblis Reborn and as for the projectiles thing maybe its easy for a jedi to push the bullets back at you before they even get close to him That's just video game BS, that doesn't happen in the movies & I don't like it happening in the game. Obi-Wan is a Jedi Master in Ep2 but he doesn't force push Jango's rocket. I think they should concentrate more on setting up better firearm weapons for the game, ones that actually have distinct advantages & disadvantages. I am working on a mod like that but unfortunately, it doesn't look like it will ever become a reality. Originally posted by Iblis Reborn maybe even before they leave the barrel so your gun explodes and you die Interesting concept but what would you do? Create a spark where the gunpowder is to make the rifle fire early or something? Well, woteva. Doesn't really matter I suppose.
