If you want to look at these yourself, they're found in a file called "siege.str"

The above files are from assets0, assets1 has some .team files which contain the lists used in the maps. Note that there's 5 Siege team lists (actually 10, since there are two sides to each scenario), rather than the usual 3 (or 6 if you count both sides for each) actually used in the game.

Well as you can see I had some lag problems (ISP to blame?) tonight, but the server is a little better now if you want to join again. ; )

Now what I REALLY REALLY want to know is this:

What are the options you can plug into g_siegeteam1/g_siegeteam2??

"none" is the default, but everything I've tried so far hasn't worked (either gives you an error as you join dumping you out or it locks up if you choose that team).

Or does Siege Destroyer have to be re-created to make it work?

A real shame Raven isn't releasing this (maybe they'll pack it with the SDK when that finally comes out?)..

Look at some of those classes...Assasin! Pilot!...imagine would could have been.

I really do hope that Raven release these classes, and the star destroyer map later on. It would mean that I would play JA a lot more than I do now (because I'm a BF1942 fan, so I like big maps with lots of different vehicles and classes). JA's siege mode failed to please me enough, but I think if the star destroyer map was added, siege mode would be pretty cool.

Well the thing is, according to Raven the reason it was left out was that it was beyond the scope of the project and unfinished.

I suppose if they had time they could finish it or at least toss it in with the SDK.

We don't really know how far along it was, but apparently they had part of it done before the game came out (via that obscure magazine shot).

PS: I don't want to raise false hopes about it appearing someday officially, only to speculate about what these incomplete resources could be used for in Siege map making...
