Darth Bunnyfoot
I would LOVE to be able to rearrange my stats and delevel myself and redo some things over now that I've been playing the game for about 20 hours. Is there any save game editor available yet?
Oboe
Actually I was wondering the same thing. Does anyone know if there is a Shadowkeeper (Baldurs gate 2) style editor in the works?
Sam Fisher
I think you can edit it with a HEX editor...

Prime
There are cheats to alter your attributes, skills, equipment, and so on. You can find these at gamefaqs.com. A editor would be great though.
Darth Bunnyfoot
I don't want to use the cheats because I've heard it can mess upt he game.
eidospsogos
oh, blah blah blah. all game companies say that. only because if for some reason something does go wrong, and you contact them for support, they don't want to bother with trying to fix a problem you caused. the chances of this happening are slim and bugs in this case are generally only caused by cheating in a way that directly affects a part of the game you are currently in. as in you weren't supposed to be able to acheive the results you managed to acheive at this point because you were cheating etc. though this is generally a copout given to you as well, because most such plotline driven events are not affected by your skill levels anyway. during my second time through the game, i pumped my persuade skill level up just to see if i could get the guy out of the locker in the republic underwater kolto facility on manaan. but it didn't matter how high you pumped your persuade skill, or even if you had force persuade. he simply would not come out. save game editors can cause bugs sometimes. but as far as the in-game cheats used by bioware for whatever purposes, i doubt they will cause too many bugs, as the company used them itself. just don't get too greedy and you're fine. i personally started using cheats in this game when 50 hours into my second time through, i hit the level cap which i did not know was there, as my main focus was not charcater build-up the first time through. i mean a level 20 cap is a bit low in my opinion. In the SW ruleset for the RPG by WOTC, Vader is a lvl 20 character, so.....

Remember this game isnt based on the SW RPG, but on the D&D rules that Bioware has been using for all their games . Anyways the lvl 20 cap is also used in NVN, so I guess they havent known about the SW RPG when making the game. -Clemme
eidospsogos
not all of their games obviously, as i have a character in the upper 30's that has still yet to cap in throne of baal.
Leagle eagle
D20 does not have levels above 20, DnD has epic levels, but they are an addon. Vader, btw, is 18th level. Yoda and the Palpatine are 20th. Luke is 9th level by the end of the trilogy.
eidospsogos
thanks for the update, i figured on something like that. i just got so used to playing my expansion packs to bg2, i really forgot about the core rules. which made me feel silly after posting this. but it still annoyed me. but still, refer to it as you wil, technically it's still a cap. as it is where you stop gaining levels. but there is a cap remover for practically every bioware game in existence, just hope one comes out for this one soon. I believe that KOTOR is based on the SW RPG, which is in fact based on D20. From what I understand, KOTOR follows the SW RPG quite closely, right down to the classes, skills, and and stats. KOTOR is based on the Star Wars RPG, which is now being published by Wizards of the Coast, the same company who publishes AD&D. Originally, though, The Star Wars RPG was published by West End Games and was a D6 (6 sided dice) based game, but after Wizards of the Coast bought the rights to the Star Wars RPG it was given a complete overhaul and, ironically, was based (Albeit, a totally different environment) on the 3rd edition AD&D rules which is, of course, D20 based. So yes, KOTOR is based on the Star Wars RPG which is based on the AD&D rules. so, you are both right, so enjoy the moment. It doesn't happen very often!
