SuicidalXWing
Ha ha! That's kinda smart, you get that job, it gets phased out, then ya get another job.
The Master
Oy...nearly fell asleep reading everything all you wrote. . . Anywho, I say if you are going to join anything such as the military, make sure it isn't a spur of the moment decision. Make sure you have thought about this decision for a good while now. Personally I would rather work alone by fighting instead of something like the army. It's just who I am. I mean I have excellent skill with swords, daggers and knifes. Had many years of practice with them. Excellent marksmanship that Ii've honed over time. And I have a good amount of skill with fighting bare handed. A lot of it was through self- dicipline and self teaching, though I wont lie when I say I did get some helpful hints and such from different reliable sources. It all helps....hmmm....maybe I could become a mercenary. Naw, my true calling is probably to become an author/actor. And maybe a vocalist if my band decides to go anywhere. ....lazy good for nothings.... Anyway, there is my little string of opinion and bragging. Nitro
I'm not sure if the US military works the same way, but in Canada, cadet officers (known as the Cadet Instructor Cadre , or CIC) are reservists, with reservist pay and hours, but without any combat training beyond basic training, so you're not eligible for overseas deployment. Sure, you don't get to play with guns (unless you're the range officer), but it's a great way to give something back to the community.
SuicidalXWing
Regular Army, Reserves, and National Guard all receive the same training. So every group is deployable anywhere.
Nitro
Who's in charge of your cadet organizations, then?
SuicidalXWing
Cadet organizations don't exist. The Reserves, National Guard, and Regular Army are all run the same way. Chain of command and whatnot, everything leads back to the same source, the Department of Defense and the president.
Nitro
They don't exist? That's funny, cause I've met a few...
Zoom Rabbit
Here in the US, we have Sea Cadets (Navy), ROTC (Army) and Civil Air Patrol (Air Force.) They are under the jurisdiction of the reserves, I believe...we trained alongside Sea Cadets in regular boot camp when I was in the Navy. I felt so sorry for those poor kids. Terrified, every one of them...
Nitro
Thought so... And I'll bet dollars to pesos that, barring WWIII, the reservist officers in charge of 'em will never see combat, or even a war zone for that matter.

SuicidalXWing
Pfft, who's counting them anyways. And on the pizzaboy topic, if you kill him, you can say he was a threat and gave away your position.
Rogue15
hmm... i finally called the army recruitment center...he was going to stop by today, but my dad wasn't home so i said it wouldn't be a good idea....so....i'll have to see about saturday or sometime next week. this is all so we can get a practice test set up. it so happens that this same guy also recruited someone who i used to work with. ^_^ When my dad got home, he asked me if I was going to enlist and I said that I might. I mean, if any of those three names (Kriegsmarine, Wehrmacht, and Luftwaffe) scream Nazi, it's Luftwaffe and that's the one they kept. I suspect Germany is up to no good once more!! I look forward to whatever weapons 40 years ahead of their time that your black science produces.
