the army called...

Oy...nearly fell asleep reading everything all you wrote. . .

Anywho, I say if you are going to join anything such as the military, make sure it isn't a spur of the moment decision. Make sure you have thought about this decision for a good while now.

Personally I would rather work alone by fighting instead of something like the army. It's just who I am. I mean I have excellent skill with swords, daggers and knifes. Had many years of practice with them. Excellent marksmanship that Ii've honed over time. And I have a good amount of skill with fighting bare handed. A lot of it was through self- dicipline and self teaching, though I wont lie when I say I did get some helpful hints and such from different reliable sources. It all helps....hmmm....maybe I could become a mercenary.

:p

Naw, my true calling is probably to become an author/actor. And maybe a vocalist if my band decides to go anywhere. :rolleyes: ....lazy good for nothings....

Anyway, there is my little string of opinion and bragging.

I'm not sure if the US military works the same way, but in Canada, cadet officers (known as the Cadet Instructor Cadre , or CIC) are reservists, with reservist pay and hours, but without any combat training beyond basic training, so you're not eligible for overseas deployment. Sure, you don't get to play with guns (unless you're the range officer), but it's a great way to give something back to the community.

Here in the US, we have Sea Cadets (Navy), ROTC (Army) and Civil Air Patrol (Air Force.)

hey.. here at this point i could draw analogies to us (us not us .. ;) )..

Navy=> Marine (pronounced "mawreeneh")

Army=> Heer (pronounced "hair")

Air Force=> Luftwaffe (pronounced "lewftwuffeh")

:D

me? i am/was "point to point radio system operator" in the "hair" ;)

in any case much better than one of those "cable bongos" .. i mean we had a direct connect to the phone line and could order pizza during the maneuvers .. only difficulty .. how to explain the pizzaboy in which wood he has to go to which tree to find us .. the positive side on that .. one pizzaboy alone deep in the woods and 3 hungry soldiers without money but with guns .. ..

yumyum.

:D:D:D

(okok. i was the 4th one.. and had the money ..)

:p

  • 3 weeks later...

hmm...

i finally called the army recruitment center...he was going to stop by today, but my dad wasn't home so i said it wouldn't be a good idea....so....i'll have to see about saturday or sometime next week. this is all so we can get a practice test set up.

it so happens that this same guy also recruited someone who i used to work with. ^_^

When my dad got home, he asked me if I was going to enlist and I said that I might.

They should have kept them called the Kriegsmarine and the Wehrmacht. I mean, if any of those three names (Kriegsmarine, Wehrmacht, and Luftwaffe) scream Nazi, it's Luftwaffe and that's the one they kept.

I suspect Germany is up to no good once more!! I look forward to whatever weapons 40 years ahead of their time that your black science produces.
