quackers Posted December 30, 2003 Posted December 30, 2003 I have killed the 2 selkith with him, but I can not seem to get him down below 2/3 health. Anyone else had a problem with him? How do you kill him.
WickedClown Posted December 30, 2003 Posted December 30, 2003 Any kind of stun or fear effect, then slaughtering...maybe some offensive force powers... you could try some of them drugs to gain an advantage (should do that before entering the room).
Jabbas WhOr3 Posted December 30, 2003 Posted December 30, 2003 I had a problem until I found drugs Stim up, shield up all characters, then kill.
Toa Tahu Posted January 1, 2004 Posted January 1, 2004 I dunno why,but I just seem to have not much trouble dealing with Sith spit like those, except for Malak...maybe it's my soldier/guardian class and my sabers(>33 damage,*2).But if you're really pushed back, use lots of hyper-stims and self-enhancing force-powers.
eidospsogos Posted January 1, 2004 Posted January 1, 2004 yes, stims can make a warrior out of even the weakest human.
Syzerian Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 most of those fights are easy cuz he will just stand there untill you enter the room while you can throw a stun grenade and then pelt him with plasma grenades a driods flamethrower works well here
eidospsogos Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 anything that stuns is your best friend. sometimes keeping wepaons with low attacks and damage bonuses, but with high chances of stunning, is the best thing to do. don't necessarily get rid of your really powerful weapons. but keep a few of the weak ones with high chances of stunning. because you can hack someone to death while they just stand there. all the time they are stunned you are damage free and they are a whipping post. so keep things that stun. concussion grenades, wepaons with the stun ability like hold out blasters etc. even adhesive grenades are GREAT. they were the difference in my battle with the third party of mandalorian raiders on dantooine.
Sakone Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 Hi there 1) Make sure you enter the room with full health/force points 2) Use some shields 3) Use stims before entering 4) Force buffs (especially speed) should be cast before entering
HertogJan Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 I just LOVE the insanity forcepower You can disable a room full of enemies and then just simply hack 'em up!!!!
eidospsogos Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 kind of like stasis field or force wave. any multi-target forcepower is great.
Sakone Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 Yeah for most groups you can just walk into a room and go.. 1) Flourish Weapon 2) Insanity 3) Lightning/Storm 4) Lightning/Storm 5) Insanity 6) Flourish Weapon 7) Lightning/Storm etc
eidospsogos Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 you know i think i will have to go through on the darkside just to see some of these powers.
HertogJan Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 Especially steps 1 + 6, that's extremely usefull Nah I think my favorite forcepowers are Insanity, Storm and Death Field... And of course speed to run a bit quicker from quest to quest
eidospsogos Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 you sound like an intergalactic pizza delivery boy. what's going to happen if you don't complete your quest in 30 minutes or less? i mean c'mon.
HertogJan Posted January 3, 2004 Posted January 3, 2004 I take my time to play the game, don't worry, although I must admit I'm quite fast, I hardly skip dialogue etc. But sometimes all the walking around annoys me so I just use speed Example: on manaan I had to go to the cantina to meet a couple of ppl for a quest, but I went the wrong way. So I ended up totally on the wrong side of manaan and had to go all the way back. Imagine how boring that would be at your normal walking pace
The Wolverine Posted January 15, 2004 Posted January 15, 2004 Out of curiousity (The room was locked for me) what do you get from inside that room?
eidospsogos Posted January 15, 2004 Posted January 15, 2004 the room contains a sidequest. it will only be opened after you speak with one of the two selkath in the mercenary enclave. i don't want to spoil any of the plot for the sidequest, but generally any area where you have to fight a dark jedi will give you good items. i think there's quite a bit of money in the footlockers as well.
wanting_info Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004 Originally posted by eidospsogos you know i think i will have to go through on the darkside just to see some of these powers. you do know that you can use offensive powers whilst on the light side and vice versa right? unless you are that strict with your characters.
wanting_info Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004 im pretty lenient. actually im too lenient. if it were up to me i wouldnt have to choose a side. im like han solo in a way. i dont care who wins as long as i get my credits and a princess afterwards.
Vestril Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004 The trouble with being lenient in this case is the cost of the powers...if you can manage to stay relatively neutral through the game though you can dabble in either side without great cost or great advantage.
ob1 kenobi Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004 Sort of like Bindo huh? But if you don't become a light side master, you don't get the +3 bonus to your strength. Oh, and does becoming a dark side master actually give you any bonuses? I didn't notice any (unless you count your character looking like a zombie a bonus). Don't get me wrong, I thought that was a great effect. I only hoped that the character would look a little more heroic when I became a light side master.

ob1 kenobi Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004 How about glowing eyes like the Level20 monks in NWN? (I know it's wierd, but come on, he was a powerful sith lord, not to mention one of the most pwerful jedi of that era!
