txa1265
As I play Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the UnderDark and my Sorceror begins to get into 'epic' territory (>level 20), I am wondering what an 'Epic' expansion for Kotor would be like. Any ideas? Mike
Darth MarcII
I would like to see some expansion stories based on some of the Timothy Zahn books.

Didnt he only write the Thrawn Trilogy, which is after RotJ? I might be wrong, so please correct me if I am. -Clemme

A sequel to "Knights of the Old Republic" set anywhere during Thrawn's time(which begins in prequel era, is definitely not Old Republic..... Though its a nice idea of course, but then again so is the idea of a lap dance from Beyonce Knowles, neither is likely to happen unfortunately..... Anti
I've given this a little thought as I just finished my 3rd run through the game. Because there are two very different endings to this game, I find it a little hard to put the main character - the PC - in the leading role once again. However, having finally finished all the side quests I know the personal story of each crew member and there are certain characters I would very much want to see again. Canderous states that he'll stick with Revan no matter where this will take him. Canderous is also the only character about to embark on a new journey: To find a place for himself in the universe, now that the whole Mandalorian Honour crap has gotten old and stale. I'd like to see what happens to him. I'm pretty sure we wouldn't get to play as Canderous, as that might take a bit of the role-playing away from the whole RPG thing we have going here... (I was never big on RPG's at all - but I've always been a sucker for StarWars). Still it could be fun. HK-47! Enough said really. I don't think anyone would actually want to take on the role of HK-47, but I'm pretty damn sure we'd all like to party up with him again. Also, I couldn't help drooling at the thought of actually using his assassin protocol, being able to send him after Calo Nord or Bandon for instance. Just have him take off on his merry way, get the job done, only to return to further enlighten us on the life and times of HK-47 - badass droid from hell. I don't care much for Juhani. The Russian accent and the cat-like appearance just didn't do anything for me. Besides she's not around if you went Dark Side. Jolee Bindo suffers the same destiny as Juhani, but in contrast to her I liked him a lot. Zaalbar is just another Wookie. While they are nice to have around - provided they're on your side of course - they're not very talkative and the only reason I kept him around in the first place was because he came bundled with: Mission Vao. I loved using Mission... um, I mean for all the cloak and dagger stuff obviously. Sadly, she's not around for an expansion in case Revan chose to go it the Dark way. Bastila is gone as well. In any case, it was much far harder to keep her alive than getting her killed no matter which side you chose. The R2-D2 wanna-be droid is about as loveable as your average cheap calculator. No need to keep him around. Carth Onasi. They way he's finished off if you turn to the Dark Side leaves a little room for his return, so I'm pretty sure we'll see him again. Not sure I really want to though: Something about him reminds of that guy who played the fighter-jock president in Independance Day... I guess Canderous' fate is where I want to see the expansion go. Maybe have him and HK-47 hook up: Have guns, will travel. Do some bounty hunting, maybe doing the dirty laundry for the Republic now that the Genoharadans are gone. In case the Sith Lord prevailed I would imagine Canderous would eventually get tired of having the same role he had under Davik, only Revan is the ÛberSith with a Star Forge and Davik was basically a bum with a fast ship. Either way Canderous would get bored. Perhaps Canderous wants to gather the clans for the second coming of the Grand Mandalorian Empire. Maybe we should see Canderous take on Revan in order to achieve this. Revans alignment doesn't really matter in that case. Or he could go the bum way: Become the local crime lord Davik style with a bad italian/new yorker accent hanging out in a greasy hangar, you know, in case his plans fail... HK-47 would be the collector then. So much for the Expansion. For KOTOR II I'd like to see a prequel I think.
Darth MarcII
The next KOTOR, according to Bioware, will not be a true sequel in the sense it will have nothing to do with the original in terms of characters. How about a story during the Exar Kun crisis?
eidospsogos
first of all. NO sequel has been confirmed for KOTOR anywhere. if you read the article from IGN, that "powderkeg", as it has been called over at the bioware forums, has a preface that will refer to the article as pure supposition. Bioware has repeatedly denied that they will make either a sequel or an expansion pack. Ryan Plamondon: Bioware Qulaity Assurance: Posted: Tuesday, 06 January 2004 02:34AM I think the fact that is being missed here is that, as good as KotOR is and as much fun as a sequel would be to make, if we spent our resources making an expansion for KotOR then we would not have enough resources to make our secret projects. If Bioware continued to make sequels and expansions for Baldur's gate, would there be a NWN? Would it have been worth another expansion to Baldur's gate to miss out on the NWN experience? Maybe for some of you but I'm betting that the majority of you are happier with the ways things turned out. There are a lot of interesting things comming down the Pipeline here at Bioware that i wouldn't want to trade for an expansion pack to KotOR. I'm not saying that its wrong to want expansions to a great game like KotOR but if you knew what was comming down the pipe as Stanley and myself do, you would probably like what's comming better. More I cannot say. so, there has been no official announcement of ANYTHING. but fortunatley for us all, Bioware also stated that sequels or expansions were a LucasArts call. so, considering the JediKnight series, i'd say we're safe. so to summarize: There are highly unsubstantiated rumours started by IGN and since then picked up by various others that Obsidian is working on KoTOR II. There has been NO official word from either LucasArts or Bioware on the subject, although LucasArts would be the one to follow for that, not necessarily Bioware.
