Dantooine mod ready for trying

the mod is ready for people to see it. not a whole lot right now. just alot of droids to kill. you realy can't get to it yet after the lev.

im working on that. and some reason the dark jedi's won't attack me. but also im working on it. this is like a "sample" of whats to come.

 

*update* all these isssues are now working fine. the mod is currently in v0.9 beta. You will still have to have cheats inabled and warp to "danm38".

SSJ3Goku . this isn't the full version. and reven is me. just re-skined. to everyone else it will be the main character unless you have the reskin. as far as bastila, i warped there witch you have to this is just a sample of whats comming. read what i said above. use "warp danwar" to get there. warping doesn't affect your party members. playing the game and getting to there does. witch you can't just yet.

Yea, good idea. and i'll check out the utc files to make them hostile. thanks for the imput

 

 

Looking good so far. You can make the dark jedi's hostile by changing their factionID in their UTCs. You might also want to tweak the stats of some council members a bit since they are dead before I even arrived (after I made the darks hostile).

Change the FactionID to 1 and that will settle them being non hostile.

 

Also I notice one mistake in your readme file. It says use the command "warp survival" while it is supposed to be "warp danwar". Survival, I think is used only in my Survival Battle mod, don't know how it can end up being in your readme file =)

ok, here is the changes i made in v0.6

(going to upload it after i run a quick test)

 

 

1.changed dark jedi's to attackable

2.Made the council's hp higher so they won't die right off.

3.trying to script it to where the remaining council alive tells you

"thank you for saving us" and only, Master vandar when you talk to him he tells you "Though many jedi's have died, you managed to save a few of us, Thank you."," Where is bastila?" you say"She was captured by Malak", he says "Go then, finish what you started. You must destroy the starforge or we are all doomed".

and it cuts back to you. and you leave. can anyone help me on this part? getting master Vander to say these? and the rest of the council to just say "thank you for saving us"? if i can get someone to do this #3 it will bring me closer to finishing my mod. and would greatly apreciate it.

the current v0.6 is being uploaded. still need help with the talking.

 

on the site you should see the download link show danwarv06.zip thats how you know its the current one. then the next as danwarv07.zip and on up to 09 then the full version 10(v1.0)

Im about to upload version 0.7 beta. and these are the features:

 

1. more dark jedi's.

2. the council has more hp so they last a little longer.

3. All of the council can die exept Master Vandar, BUT

if you wait to long he might. he has hp just like all the rest.

I made sure you had enough time to atleast save him

 

 

 

future plans:

 

1. im working on a way that if you don't save vandar it ends the game. as in you can't continue without him.

2. Still need help with editing the voices as stated in this post previous.

3. I can't seem to find a good debre model. they seem to have to end in .utp or they won't show. I'd like to use the escape pods but there a .utt :( if you know a place with some good big ceiling debree or just debree that will block a passage (the one to danm14) or if you just run across a model in .utp and it would go good with the battle then just reply to this and tell me the file name and where you found it.

Hey randy, thanks for creating this mod.

 

Are you planning to add anything more to this, in addition to those points you mentioned above. I don't know, but honestly speaking, this mod seems too shallow. It took me like five minutes to clear this up, and it seems that you are only spawning those dark jedis and droids and nothing else. (well, throw in some dead bodies around also).

 

Nevertheless, I appreciate your work though. Thanks again.

thanks for the mod :)

 

you may want to increase the council members' hp a bit. i took three level 20 characters, activated master speed and couldn't reach them in time. (only tried it once, though)

 

the dark jedi in the training room is still neutral.

 

after entering and leaving the ebon hawk i found myself on pre-attack-dantooine. (the savegame i used was before the leviathan events)

I haven't seen your mod yet since i'm in the office. As soon as i get home I'll try it.

Concerning the escape pods that you intended to use for the dark jedi's arrival, there may be an option: Bastila's starship on Temple Summit . I haven't checked what kind of file it is but it could be what you're looking for.

I was wondering why Vandar and Vorak(or what ever his name is) Why don't they have lightsabers? Vandar does have the animations to wield a lightsaber, well a short saber would be better. It would also be be nice to see some generic jedi like seen on SF.

 

The last thing is it looks like you included all of the original Dantooine enclave files. Was that nessesary, I didn't think it was.

lightsabers.. not sure how to add them to them.

 

and as i stated before this is not the final release check the version info its v0.7 beta. its just to show what i have sofar. I got a loooong way to go before its finished. lots of stuff to do to it.

To add a weapon to an npc is simple you just have to open the npc' utc and under the equiplist add a lightsaber. the new item should look like this

EquippedRes [CResRef] =g_w_shortsbr03

 

looking forward to when it is finished. Maybe you could expand it out past the enclave and make a small quest that vandar gives you to save as many jedi as possible and the one's you do save can give the PC small trinkets like upgrade crystals and equipable items for your crew.

 

It's your mod though so your decision.

thanks t7 for showing me how to add the lightsabers to the council. as far as the council members hp. i uped each one to 500 from like 8 that they originaly had. and there still dying? geesh.

 

oh, and t7. yea the files where nessasery. for a few reasons.

 

1. incase i wanted to use any of them.

2. if one is used and i remove it then what i used it for won't show up because these files in it are dependant. meaning the files in the mod depend on themselfs and not outside of it.

I think there is a way to make an npc invulnerable if you have ever tried to kill Calo nord on lower taris you would find out he can't die. If you look at a creatures utc there is a node that says

Deity [CEoxoString] =

maybe that can be used somehow

Or it can be done through a script I looked in module where you first meet calo and found there is not a UTC for him but there are about 13 scripts for him. I don't know how you could make him invulnerable that way, but someone might. Another solution could be to script the jedi and darkjedi to start fighting when you enter the room that way the jedi have very little chance of dieing.

 

oh ya and you do know that for any changes you make to uti, utc, ect. only take effect when you first load the module. :rolleyes: ah im sure you knew that.

ok, i boosted everyones hp up a little, but the only one that will definatly live is vandar he has now like 850 hp rest have 600 something witch will die if you wait to long. won't die right off. but then again some are ment to die. but it all depends on how long it takes you to get to them :)

 

oh, t7 they still won't hold lightsabers. i put one in vandar's hand and it dosen't show. this is what i did.

this did not work. i saved it and recompiled the mod and no go. his hp is what i changed it to but no lightsaber.
