Dantooine mod ready for trying

lol then i need help. its taken me this long to just do what i have. before then i have never modded before. so there is still alot that i don't know so i need some help with some of these things.

 

#1. we need some spawner program that addes model & x,y,x location into the .git file of the mod. it takes me all day to add a few spawns. lol

 

#2. if this mod is going to expand outside the enclave i could use some help with the other areas. My baby is the envlave. others can have credit for the other areas and put in my mod. + other things :)

I think I could do that for you, but he won't have any VO. Unless someone out there is good at editing sound then maybe something could be pieced together, but I won't hold my breath on that.

Not sure about this. I think an option should be available to DS players but perhaps more in the dialogues. Have the PC lie to the council about continuing his quest to destroy the Starforge. Otherwise the end of the story when you leave the unknown world and Vandar tells Bastilla that she and "the Padawan" should help the Jedi doesn't makes much sense.

I don't know, I agree that would be a little off, but I think that's only a small bump in the storyline road. Hmm... I don't know if there's a simple solution to that one, but I still think it would be cool for dark side players to have a chance to take on the council.

Ok, here is an update on what im currently working on

 

#1. adding t7's messages

#2. adding a dark jedi master thats in the council room thats attacking the council.(hes bad so don't fiddle around. Lets just say the sooner you get to them the more will be alive, i played through it going fast and slow. the fast all council was alive but 1. slow all dead but 1 (vandar).

 

#3. already added 2 gwings that they come down in. but i need to position them better.

 

#4. need to add a script where a jedi runs out from the enclave to the docking port and screams help us!! and a dark jedi kills him. that will be your que to help them. make it when you first land/warp there he runs out.

Just a question about this mod. What is the point of the Dark Jedi in the Training room next to the council room where you had to train for jedi force and the code? You can't talk to her, or fight her. Is there plans for her or something?

 

Edit: Also, I don't know modding so I don't know if its possible. If you wanted to expand the mod out futher to have it so you can walk outside of Jedi Academy. Maybe expand the plot?

One thing i've noticed while building this mod was that you can't save your game while on this mod. it comes back with a crash message. but the mod loads just fine. *shrug*

 

Maybe by the time its done it will save fine.

ok, on the lady dark jedi int he training area. she was a test subject. i was going to make her the master dark jedi thats leading the attack. but im using a bandon model now instead.

*thought* now if i can only remove the bandon name with another name... :p *

Ok I thought you were editing the utc's with the gff editor and that u just didn't know how to edit the name. But it looks like a bug that slipped past. I tryed to change a name with KT's utc editor and you are right it does not work. I'll email Fred about it and hopefully he can update it

 

Until then you can still change the name a npc by editing the utc in the gff editor.this is how

 

select node FirstName[CExoLocString]=0

on the right change

 

STRREF to -1

Language ID to 0

 

and enter the text for the name in the textbox below

Language ID.

Thanks t7, i got my dark jedi master's name changed. Plus im trying do do a dialog for him where he shouts Your to late, the council is mine!

 

I just hope everyone enjoyes this mod when its finished. I think its going to be better than i ever imagined.

lets run over the things i have in place:

 

1. dark jedi's through out the enclave

2. war droids here and there

3. 2 gwing shipes that they landed in in the docking area.

4. couple of dead bodies. may add a few more later

5. a master dark jedi. later add a shout to him

6. sparks comming out of the training terminal.(need to make it apear broke to, right now you can click on it and use it)

7. the jedi council fights back and has lightsabers.

8. right now you have to warp in (need to work on a way to get in through the game. such as possibly edit the destination file for after the lev. thinking of some ways to do this.

9. a few small debre's. (need larger debre such as a fallen pillar, etc..)

10. the council thanks you afterwards when you save them and vandar goes into detail on the speach. (text only, no sound unless the actors wanna join :p)

11. the ebon hawk is in the docking bay ( but if you enter the ebon and then re-exit its either in space and you can't exit or on the last planet you where on. need to fix this somehow)

 

features to come:

 

1. use the mod as part of the game by smoothly adding it in after the lev.

2. the dark master shouts "Your to late jedi, the council is mine"

3. make the ebon hawk be on the new dantooine so you can enter and exit on dantooine.

4.somehow show a small ship landing or already landed and the council goes to it and "enters" it (disapears) and the ship takes off.(or disapears) May just forget this and they stay behind for now to gather those that are left.

5. others helping in to expanding the enclave to other areas on dantooine as side quests to save others.

 

thats all for now. if theres something on the features to come list you woud like to see then reply and post them and i'll take them into consideration :)

kaewan, not at this time unless others pitch in to help with those areas, right now i have those area's blocked off. Im putting everything i have to make the enclave to be the best it can be, don't know if i have enough ump to do the rest of dantooine alone.

Ok im in the prossses of updating V0.9beta lots of changes sence the last one you downloaded. witch are stated in my last post with the list. It should be uploaded shortly. keep checking back if you don't see V0.9 beta on the current version.

as always thanks goes to T7 for helping me out on some files and sending me some samples.

 

I hope when this mod is done everyone will enjoy it. It has ben fun, hard & long hours working on it.

 

Whats my next project after this one is complete? hmm lets see

 

I want to make a few touchups to like say the escape pod on taris. where you can search them to find hidden stuff the others missed.

 

I would like to on the main dantooine before the attack place some more side quests. add THE MANDALORE "leader of all mandalorians" to dantooine somewhere before the attack. and you can confront him, dunno what i'll have him do

 

This may be hard. but i want to somehow add swoop bike parts. use the swoop bike engine for a templete. all you realy have to do is

1. add the parts & name them

2. script the swoop bike in the ebon where you can click on it and a window opens up to give items. place the parts in it. and script it to go faster. shouldn't be to hard. and put the parts on the ones that supose to have them for sale.

 

*edit* also have it where you can add/remove the parts. the more parts in it the faster it goes. max 3 parts in it. and if you remove parts the slower it will go. Like i said, im not sure if this

will work, but im willing to give it a try when im done with the current project.

this Mod gets better and better every update. Man that Dark Master is hard.

 

I noticed a bug it seems. When you talk to Dorak and other person before you talk to vandar, u see the bubble message on upper right. After you talk to vandar and talk to either one of the two, the bubble message comes up as a Terminal Console with the message and it crashes the game.

 

Other than that...getting better and better.

yea, i said to read the readme file in the zip. it told you those problems. their being worked on trying to fix it

 

oh and p.s. i still forgot to remove that dummy dark jedi lady in the back training room :p but as you notice i also added a light jedi next to her :p wanna maybe add them to fighting.

Ok, great news! i linked the last door to the hanger bay to a cut sceen taking off. then connected that to the landing cutsceen to dantooine then linked that to the mod. im currently testing it out to see how it looks. in the end it should seem like a natural flow with the rest of the game :) right now there are no choises, the battle will be hardcoded to go there next then you can go off to the last planet. i think it works better this way so you have to do the battle and can't skip it.

hmm having problems, i can link the last door directoy to the mod but some reason i can't find the landing & take off rims. there not in the stunt file. hmm maybe in the movie folder? if so how do you link to that? hmm may try some experiments.

something tells me its in the script file. that it says load the bik movie then load the mod.

 

but the problem with that is there is no uncompiled script of

for expample (k_pdan_13_area.ncs) witch is the file that tells the mod what to do. in that file is the answer in making a fly out & in sceen & then load the mod. if anyone could descript that file i'd be happy :p
