Whoopknacker
Voice chat sounds great, only thing is that people yell into it and you dont know who they are talking to when someone yells duck. In this game they need to go the extra mile. That is number each player like BF42 and allow communications to be directed to a particular player. Have hotkeys to talk to players that are at close distance, and a hotkey to talk to players in a vechile with you. I think this would coordinate battles much better. Also if they could have the players numbers on the birdseye map view. OK Everyone to you stations lets go RIGHT:atat:
XMajor
Voice chat is great because it lets you make friends on a server and just doesnt make what server you choose pointless, you'll go to a server to hang out with regulars that you know. It is so frustrating playing a game and not being able to call out for help or to tell people what to do or where to go. Halo would be so much better if it had voice chat. Using voice chat strategically isn't hard, just call out the name of the person and say something. I agree though, an in game PM system with voice would be amazing. Wai_TungLeung
Since broadband will be required for the game, they might as well throw in voice chat features as standard. But what has anyone ever encounter players who shout abuse out to you? Can they be easily blocked?
dark jedi 8
i dont know about computer voice chat but x-box live headsets allow you to block unwanted people. i'd assume the computer ones should as well?
Whoopknacker
I am not slamming the use of chat, I think its great. I am saying go the extra mile to have some kind of smart communications switchboard. Something like use the Num Keypad to direct communications is all. Alegis
voice chat is great, mostly it doesnt get used so much anyways, and there is an extra menu to mute players. And nothing stops you from making a vote to kick a person screaming swear words at everyone and acting like a 10yo
