JeeMonkey Posted March 21, 2004 Posted March 21, 2004 dear wadeV, i owe u a great deal of appology. i always knew that u knew what u were doing when giving me advice, but i found u cocky and so i stereotyped u as someone who has mapped for a long time and assumes hes an elite. then i saw ur stargate creating for jk games. i completely underestimated ur abilities and am very sorry for ignoreing u at times. great work, and thanks for all the help.

WadeV1589 Posted March 21, 2004 Posted March 21, 2004 I first made the rings in Elite Force using func_doors, that engine was painful to make things like the rings in...but I eventually did it and that's where I got my most recognition from as no-one had done anything quite so amazingly insane with EF. Since then I've remade them using newer methods and now they use JA's EFX abilities to make them look how they do.
Methos007 Posted March 21, 2004 Posted March 21, 2004 Sweet, I like playing on that map and spawning jawas in the middle. Usualy 2-3 die in the rings and some get stuck in "subspace" if you know what I mean. It's like a science experiment.

WadeV1589 Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 I modelled them in Max. The textures are in the PK3, models are not, you can use them if you want. The Stargate Mod is now defunct...however if you're looking for Stargate based mods for any games, http://www.stargatemods.com/ .
