Noob Question on Feat progression

I'm new to the game, and am thinking of a character plan of Scoundril & Counsilar, taking advantage of the cumulative defensive bonuses of Scoundril's luck and Jedi Sense (total would be +12 to defense!).

I was thinking of going up to level 6 scoundril and level 14 Counsilar, which would make me elligible to max both out.

Question is... for the Scoundril's feat progression is 1, 3, 5 and NOT one at six. Could I use the Jedi's first Feat point to max out the Scoundril's "Scoundril's Luck" feat?

FYI, This template would net me 10 Feat points which I would do 2 into Scoundril's luck (maxed), 2 into Crit Strike (maxed), 3 into Toughness (maxed), 2 into Flurry and 1 into Implants.

With +12 to defense and the huge + to saving throws... wouldn't that make me VERY hard to hit? At least that's my idea...

No - once you 'Jedi Up' you lose access to the base class. You are not truly dual classed in that regard, the Jedi class supercedes the base class.

I don't think you *can* take implants unless you're a scout.

Probably ... which will be very useful when you spend the game running from fights you're not strong enough to win ;)

Seriously, though, a 6/14 build is what I took the first time I played a Scoundrel / Consular, and it was a good build. You just have to remember that your Consular is the closest to a Sorceror as there is in KotOR, so treat the build accordingly - in other words, you'll be winning most battles by harnessing the Force, not by applying major smack-dab on their a**, as a Soldier/Guardian would.

My Scoundrel/Consular was my favorite mix ... sure I wasn't whomping out the big hits with my saber, but my Force attacks were devastating and unstoppable!

Very true it took me a little while to get used to the fact i couldn't really wade in and chop stuff up but as you say awesome force powers both lightside and darkside although darkside does have the better offensive powers makes 2-18 worth while:D
