kipperthefrog
Greetings! I strogly beleive ANYONE of ANY AGE should be able to watch ANYTHING they want! If PARENTS don't like it, THEY dont have to watch it! period! no one should have ANY RIGHT to tell SOMEONE ELSE what they can and can't watch! THERE SHOULD BE NO MPAA RATING AT ALL! the bottom line is: if it is NOT too "bad" for adults, it is NOT too "bad" for kids!
Doomie
So kids can watch porn, and if their parents don't want it, they don't watch the porn themselves? You're pretty weird.
lukeiamyourdad
Probably a little kid whose parents won't let him watch porn and now he's pissed
kipperthefrog
Im 23 years old! when i was 11, i remember when my parents won't let me watch "Ichy And Scratchy" on "the simpsons" becuase the thought it was violent! when i was 18 they wouldn't let me play "warcraft 2" either! it made me so mad! i fought with them untill the gave up! even NOW i think ANYONE should have the right to choose their own entertainment! by the way, if i WERE still a little kid, i wouldn't know much about internet and how do you think i would have MADE it to the discussion forums anyway? Doomie
WE're not talking little kids, we're talking kids of about eleven. Kids know alot about the internet these days, i am thirteen myself. And your plan DOES suggest they can watch porn, although you do have your reasons. Not even Warcraft? I can play Warcraft 3. Oh and aboutt hat DVD-player, it's stupid. If you watch a violent movie, you'll miss the entire plot.
toms
i wouldn't mind a dvd player that allowed me to edit the film my way.... i might be able to make a watchable version of EP2, or edit Matrix reloaded and revolutions together to make an almost ok movie.... But you can see why a load of people who had laboured for ages to bring their vision to the screen as they intended might get a bit annoyed if it got hacked around and had the message changed. lukeiamyourdad
The DVD player wouldn't let you edit what you want, it'll just remove the violent or nudity scenes.
toms
surely it would have to have "templates" for each film that knew which scenes to miss out. I could make a template to cut all the midichlorians out Would it have an inverse setting?
Hiroki
I wouldn't mind if they edited out all of the cursing and nudity in movies. But leave the violance alone...or increase it. If they take all of the gore out, its just not worth it.
lukeiamyourdad
Well, violence without cursing would be kind of weird. Like in saving Private Ryan, the soldiers cursed and there was a lot of violence. Still, it was there for realism.
