S1ave One
Do you think Mace Windu v.s. Jango Fett battle ended to quickly? We should of saw more fighting from Jango.I mean come on going down like that. Why didn't he use his flame thrower or trip wire? Give me your thoughts on this short battle.
Kryllith
He had his guns in hand so he used them instead. Main thing to consider is that Fett probably wasn't expecting his jetpack to conk out on him. If he had known, then he surely would have altered his attack strategy against Mace (used the flamethrower to keep Mace away until he could escape, for example). As it is, no, I don't think the battle was too short. Kryllith
S1ave One
I guess everyone has diffrent thoughts, but imo he was deceased to quickly.
dark jedi 8
i agree, his jetpack had a rocket. in one of the later drafts of the script, fett's jetpack was supposed to fall off him and somehow he gets seperated from it. (i think when the reek runs over him) and he was supposed to shoot it so it would explode b/c mace was close to it. at least that would have helped his reputation. but i guess it proves just how precise and impressive mace is as a swordsman and jedi. MasterN64
Now I ama fan of the Jedi but I do agree that Jango could've had a better fight with Mace. At least it would hav made the movie a little better.

Kryllith
Yeah, that's basically my opinion. It was a quick, no-nonsence fit befitting Windu's fighting style. Now granted, if Jando's pack had been working then I wouldn't have minded a bit of a longer fight, but with all the action going on, the focus on Windo-Fett might have gone on too long. As such, Lucas might have had to cut it short with the same ending, and then Jango wouldn't have a faulty pack to blame for his quick death. Figured this way helps him safe a little face (but then, he's dead, so what does he care? ) Kryllith
Codja X
It does seem that the fett family all die in controversial circumstances (ignoring EU). After kicking Obi-Wan's ass I did think he'd put up more of a fight against Windu, but there you are. I did read somewhere that a bit of that fight was cut to keep the film time down and to keep the story progressing. I don't know if this is true or not, but i'd have preferred a slightly more fitting end to the galaxy's hardest non-jedi
sith_master2000
In the book the fight between Jango and Mace is longer. Jango was actually trying to take off, in the film every time you see him walk backwards and the jetpack sparks; that's him trying to fly up. Prism
Mace IS the most powerful jedi next to yoda, after all..(at that time. i think.)..So I don't see why it should last longer. He sliced his head off, good nuff for me
