One of my Team Members is a good coder and cracked the format in one night. SO, he has made a compiler/decompiler for editing and making models to get them ingame. Sorry if this is spam but Holowan Laboratories isnt working right now and MMP seems to want the model format. Unfortunately, I don't have the model compiler/decompiler with me, Element x has it and ill post it up after I test it. Also, lets all say "thanks a bunch" to Element x for cracking the model format for us!

actually it is fully cracked. Element X made a compiler/decompiler that will change the .mdl format to an editable format. The decompiler works but the compiler hsnt been fully tested yet, but i thought id say that all we have to do is test it and then Holowan MMP can get moving again.

hes going to send it to me in like 40 minutes after hes done uploading some stuff to an ftp site. After that, ill post it on my forums and you people can test it.

sorry, after the 20 min he went away for some reason and i dont know why. He said he would be back though. I must warn you that it might be alittle bugged becasue it hasnt been fully tested.

ok, i'll clear things up.

 

mgnails wasnt sure whether to release the model format or not.

I thought that he should, as this is a community after all, and we should help each other

after alot of debate (which i started, sorry for disruption :S) we won him over. From what i ahve been told the models are cracked but its still got lil errors,

i say realease it when it has atleast been ironed out a little.

The good thing we can all rely on is, The bugs should not last very long with the unending pool of talent that flows like an eternal modding delluge from this site!

 

Additionally, I see ALOT of incredible things coming from here once that model editor is posted, if it is easy enough to understand I might even join in on the new item creating fun-ness! ;-p
