I use kotor tool for modify spells.2da for create a new arm shield but for the name of my new shield ?

 

must I use a number of line of dialog.tlk ?

or there is an other solution ?

yes you create a new line in the dialog file

You don't need to edit the .tlk table for this. In fact, i do not recommend it at all if you want to make your mod available for download (the tlk is 5MB!)

 

You can modify spells .2da directly with KT. For the rest, you can edit the utc file of your new item.

You only have to place a TLK file entry if you are creating a new force power. In that case, you should probably search for an existing entry instead of trying to add a new one.

 

If you're creating a new armband, then as Darth333 mentioned, just modify the .uti DescIdentified field directly.
