RoxStar Posted June 2, 2004 Posted June 2, 2004 Hey I was looking for a good modeling program and I don't know what to use. I downloaded the Half-Life 2 version of Softimage by mistake thinking that it could work for Jedi Academy. Could it? Or should I look for something better? Any suggestions?
Fracman Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 you could try Milkshape 3D, it's shareware: http://www.milkshape3d.com/ There is also GMax available for free, but all the other good tools are very costly.
Thrawn42689 Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 http://www.wings3d.com I hear it's easy to learn and use.
Kain Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 If Milkshape if shareware, why does it cost $25? Expand your Imagi-Nation
TK-8252 Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 You could probably get better answers in the JA Modeling forum.
LightNinja Posted July 28, 2004 Posted July 28, 2004 gmax is nice thought, and man your damn signature how much mb has? i spend much time loading it in the threads where you post.. lol, is not better a jpg?
keshire Posted August 15, 2004 Posted August 15, 2004 Its best to have something that supports, the skin modifier, as well as md3 and xsi import/export. GLM is also nice.
