Being that the two machines mentioned are, aparently, more powerfull (i say aparently because i never really looked and specs and stuff) I already know the the PS2 version isn't going to look as grand as the other two.. but looking better does not make a game. And being that the PS2 version is expected to look the worse, well, thats my point in being the most suprising. I think it will handle great.

Besides, you said the PS2 will have horrible performance.. I asked how it will have horrible performance, you said the quote about. Because it maybe won't look as good on the PS2 means it will have horrible performance?

No, I've seen many ugly screenshots with bad graphics, and I just presumed they were from the PS2.

But you're right, I myself saw no difference between the graphics of 007 Nightfire on PS2 and Gamecube. It's always small things, anyway. PS2 is good, but I don't own one, I'm satisfied with my Gamecube and PC.

I just wish Battlefront came for the 'Cube as well... jesus, it's not that childish. Good job to whatever sort of people made Nintendo look like a console for 3-year olds. No, Nintendo didn't do that themselves, there's plenty of mature games for the GC, trust me.

I have always liked the controller on PS1 and PS2 vs. other console systems like Nintendo 64, NES,SNES, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, etc. That is why I play all my console Star Wars games on PS1 or PS2. I just don't have the extra money to invest in another console like X-box when I am in college. Studies come first.

I think another reason why I choose not to pay 150 dollars for X-box or 100 dollars for Gamecube is the fact that one Gamecube only has a few Star Wars games. That is why I video games in the first place. Medal of Honor Series is the only other games I play besides Star Wars. I am losing anything in the end because when PS3 comes out and I buy it in 2005 or 2006 I can still play DVD, CD, PS1, and PS2 games on it. I heard they might put the ability to play MP3's on it also and a DVD Recorder. I am not 100% sure.

i am also a MOH:AA and Star wars fan only person. All those games with magic and

cr** bore me to death with (in my opinion)

childishness. .not to mention those turn taking attack games like when your playing a board game :o. anyway,im off topic. The console version of battlefront's only true disadvantage, in my opinion, is less players capability(with lan and internet)

I wouldn't say "Crappier" graphics.

The graphics obviously aren't going to be as good looking on a PS2 than say a $1000 PC with a $100 graphics card... But, from what I have seen, the graphics look pretty good.

And remember, graphics don't make the game. If the game play isn't there, then the game isn't.

I don't care about the gameplay, all I care about is the Star Wars feeling. (I wrote all that with my eyes closed, ain't I'm cool?)

Hello Everyone!

I'm new here as well.

I am pondering which platform to purchase for (PC vs. PS2). My Pc is more than capable (I am an avid BF1942 / DC player) but I have two boys who love playing games on the PS2. I would have to break down and buy the internet adapter for the PS2 as well.

Either way it looks as if we may have a really great SW game in the makes here! I can't waite to roast a few Ewoks fuzz balls..:atpilot:

I say ps2, but my judgement is biased, cause I want another ps2 gamer to play with. But if you get it for the ps2, your kids can play two player with each other not online, which you cant do for the pc. but the pc can support more gamers in a game. I still say ps2, though.

Are you sure about the two being able to play at the same time? Is that on the official website?

I rarely find BF1942 servers set to the max of 64 players anyhow. I think the most people I have ever played with online was about 50, and lag was a bit of an issue (although it was insanely fun!)

"Aren't going to be as good looking." You mean crappier? ;)

Just teasing. I'm sure they will all be fine.

Very true. Gameplay is always the most important thing for me...

And like tFighterPilot said, if it has a really good Star Wars feel, then even better!!

And so far, it feels Star Wars!

alot of things arent on the official website, cause for some reason, it gets info alot slower than say, IGN and Gamespot. But I'll do some extra research for you to double check, but I'm 70% sure that it is.

Gamespot seems less good than IGN and Gamespot in getting the latest info.

for one, Im was just throwing out examples, but it does get info equally fast. During the recent shower of info a few daysa go, gamespot was pouring the info out just as plentifully as the rest.

(EDIT) Just looked at gamespot and it says 1-16 players. I'm now 90% sure that its two player on a console.

Xbox live is being extended to the PC, even play PC against/with Xbox users on some titles.

i have a PS2, XBOX and a PC.

i have NBA 2k3 for PS2. can i play online ? NO !

Why you ask? beacuse sega dont want to keep the servers on, they want you to buy the newest version.

With Xbox Live it connects you to other players, the system is always on. (you pay for it)

XBOX live is a whole system, chat and play to your buddies on all games and voice chat. Send MSN instant mesages to them. Video comference with them(soon...). Download content.

PS2 is just ... well

PS2 is a daewoo car, with people saying tis better i have more money left over... basically its crap !!!

Xbox Live is a BMW/ferrari (whatever), everything is better and has no competition.

heck you can even turn it into a Media center or a PC if you install Linux.

Xbox is cheaper, $150 done.

PS2 $150, $40 network adapter, $80 hard drive.

now i feel like a fool for buying the Playstation 2, but i had to, Gran Turismo 3 and soon 4.

But Xbox is where its at.

PC is good if you have the money to get a PC that will play video games like Star Wars Galaxies and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic.

I stick with PS2. PS2 is the same price as a X-box at $150. Only people who want to play online need to pay extra money for the internet adaptor for PS2. Most people I have met don't play online.
