Alegis
They'll most likely include voice chat in the game. I'mnot talking about microphones, but built-in voice commands. Which ones would you like to see in the game? I'd want team voice cmds only (no taunts) and include Attack Fall back Flank (left/right) Defend flag Go for flag Follow me On my way Unit/Vehicle spotted Need reinforcements Listed like all games do, Commands Statements And that other category
Elite Jedi
I think live voice chat is more effective.
Bracr Lyalv
I think live chat's more effective, too.
Tyler_Durden
The game is confirmed to have voice chat for PS2 and X-BOX. I just wish that the game would convert the chat dialogue so that you would sound like a clone for the republic and robotic sounds for separatists, etc. That would be dope. Azurik12x
heh i read on the swbattlefront.com site that they will have voice chat (talking on the microphone, not the voice command things) for pc also
THE BADGER:
They'll most likely include voice chat in the game. I'mnot talking about microphones, but built-in voice commands. Which ones would you like to see in the game? Live chat is the only way to play. You can't use pre-determind chat when you in the heat of battle. Some how "I need reinforcement" don't work sometimes you need to say " I need some help, get the f**k over here" lol
Alegis
not everyone has voice chat on, as some may find it annoying. Built-in voice chat is faster to use, everyone hears it clearly, and also appears as text message to team. I'd only use that "ehm...i think we need a bit of help here!" "what you said?" i think "Need reinforcements" is WAY more effective
Elite Jedi
In most cases i guess.
Master William
I want commands like that, I don't wanna talk to strangers, nor hear any. It ruins the SW feeling for me if some guy goes like "y helo thar Nexus, protect meh!11"
Whoopknacker
They need to take voice chat to the next level. Assign a number to each player on your team then use the keypad to communicate to that person. Also have channels, such as players that are within twenty feet of you, an all team channel and in vechile channel for teammates that are in the same vechile. You defineately have to have an ignore option. Admins should have the power to shut out spammers and trash talkers.
Stingray
Or, even better IMO, make the voice chat distance dependant. This would mean the following: You are near 2 other teammates. you say something, the game detects who said it, and creates a 3D sound within the game where the source is your model. This means that every1 near to you can hear you clearly, and further away perhaps in a lower volume, and even farther away just can't hear you. This might be a bit idealistic, but I'm sure the first game to have that won't take long to be released (if such a game hasn't been released already). Implementing this would mean a real 'reality-boost' and in some cases prove usefull: "wach out for the guy on your left!" *thinks: "huh? who said that? To whom was he speaking?" you catch my drift? insanellama
that would be sick if u could turn a voice modulation on like in socom 2 so it would sound like u were a droid or a clone...
Alegis
stingy, thats atm in call of duty. Even the enemies nearby will hear you. Quite nice, but cause of that i aint using the flank commands if you'd really want to take it far, the game might draw a cirkle around you if you use commands but that'd use some lil resources
