My Experience With BATTLEFRONT

When i first heard that there was going to be Battlefront Tournaments at the San Diego 2004 Comic-Con, i was syched out. First thing i did when i got to the Comic-Con on Thurseday was go to the tournaments. I loved the game soo much i played 5 games in a row, 4 of which i won. They also had this thing where you could win a shirt if your team won and sadly they only let me get one for that day. I also ended up playing it Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Each day but Friday i got a shirt. I now have 4 battlefront shirts. As you can tell, i loved the game.

The game was a very fun game. You can fight as either the Rebels versus the Empire, or the Droids:bdroid2: versus the Republic Clone Army. you fight on planets such as Yavin 4, Naboo, Tatooine, the clone planet place, and also my favorite one was Hoth. The game plays a lot like SoCom 2 and Battlefiend 1942, buit is better just because of the whole, it is a STAR WARS FREAKIN GAME!!! The team play on the game i can tell will be very good. There were 3v3 tournies but also a lot of bots so i couldnt really get the full feel of the team aspect but i can tell it will be a very good team experience. The controls are also very easy. My favorite person to use was the standard soldier with the blaster rifle and so all i had to do was press R1 and move and i was able to kill plenty of people. The game does have a lot of good aspects as well. You can move the D-Pad on the PS2 controller to tell the bots what to do and you can also throw grenades or jump or roll or dodge or kneel or a bunch of other things. I can tell the game will go far, and since i am an X-Box fan, i cant wait to be able to get really involved in the PvP aspect of it and the Clan fightings also. This is one game that i didnt really hear anything negative the whole 4 days that i was pretty much always around the game for. I assure you that if you play this game even if you arent a big star wars fan, you will probably still enjoy the game a lot. I will post more information on the game in future times to come

As far as the AT-AT i dont know honestly because most of the people playing at the tounaments it was also their first time playing the game ever..... actually i think it was their first time playing A game ever.... but ya none of the Rebels came close to killing an AT-AT when i was playing Hoth, nor did they come close to killing one in one of the games i was watching...

There are jawas they dont really attack though, they jsut get in your way and run pretty much asking you to shoot them

I spoke today with a co-worker who attended the Comic-Con in San Diego. (His Star Wars fan film, "Made to Suffer," was a finalist--check it out on atomfilms.com). Anyway, he's not a gamer but he is a huge Star Wars fan. I asked him if he had opportunity to play. He did not, but he stood and watched, somewhat mesmerized, at the on-screen action. In a nutshell, he said to "get your sleep NOW, because when it comes out..." You know the rest!

I am Ed Grimley-excited. I must say.

At the comi-con did you see how you get into the AT-AT?

You will get into the vehicles one of the following 2 ways. One you can choose to spawn in them and 2 you can walk up to one a press a button, or key for your PC users, and you'll warp into it like in battlefield.
