saberhagen
You had a really bad position on that narrow strip of land between the edge of the map and the sea, and you were right between me and Sith. It made it easy to turtle but you didn't have much chance to expand like I did.
Sithmaster_821
That was a weird map. Saber had most of the map to himself, including this tumor that jutted out into the middle of the water. But Viceroy got screwed more than I did, so no complaints there:D. I was planning on doing a full on t2 strike on Viceroy but saber hit t3 early and he was naboo,so I was expecting an airstrike, a la lats game. Needless to say, I wasted a lot of resources on AAoopers that I had to kill in the end. I tried a couple of raids on viceroy (including this massive nexu raid via water that failed miserably), but I really stayed in my base waiting for saber's air fleet to appear. I ended up forward building on Viceroy when one of my raiding parties discovered that saber was in fact hitting viceroy, and I just demolished his buildings with mass troopers and arts. But then viceroy died, and saber hit my base while my army was moving in to hit his in Viceroy's base, so my econ went to hell, and it was gg. But I didnt want to go out without a fight, so I just sent an ac out to hit saber's town:D Went it died, I resigned. GG all.
DK_Viceroy
At least I got some practise at fast Strike Mech defence though if anyone shows up next weekend unlike the one just gone I hope we don't get that map. I don't know why I ALWAYS seem to get double teamed.
Admiral Vostok
Hello all, thought I'd drop in whilst having free broadband access in a truly excellent B&B in Salisbury. The last battle report was good, but from Viceroy's comment I take it no-one turned up for the weekend just gone. I hope the weekly battles continue until I'm finished travelling! On another note it looks like there has been plenty of forum activity, which I'll be reading later...
DK_Viceroy
I told you you'd find good Facilities here in Britain. There's certainly been plenty of activity. How many more weeks you on tour for? I'm fast getting fed up of being double teamed again and again.
FroZticles
If you think Vostok is going to back you up I think all that delusional Truism garbage has gone to your head.
DK_Viceroy
Froz you never take part in the forum games so none of this has anything to do with you. Besides me and Vostok are nearly always on the same team so we always help each other out.
saberhagen
They have the internet in Wiltshire? I didn't even know they had electricity!
DK_Viceroy
quite simply they don't. I can just imagine Vostok jogging on a treadmill to power the computer
FroZticles
I've already said why I don't join even if I did I'm sure it would not be fun for the rest of you anyways. Especially Viceroy since I would have to go out of my way to kill him 1st.....
DK_Viceroy
Froz we've already told you that every time we do a new time your no where to be seen so it's your own fault and as for killing me first I highly doubt that. Now stop spamming in a thread not meant for spam. When Vostok comes back I think we're gonna need a new time anyway since Vostok will be in a different time zone. FroZticles
4am in the morning my time is a great time change.......
DK_Viceroy
Australian time right? We're gonna change the time so if you check and give us your time zone when we next talk about the time and we'll ajust it and since Vostok is going from Canadian to Australian time we'll be able to adapt for you. Admiral Vostok
Quite true! Hello everyone, my travels are over. I am once again back in sunny Queensland and getting back to a "normal" life. Hopefully there are still those amongst you who are interested enough to keep going with weekly games. My timezone is GMT+10, so if we can sort out a decent time it would be good. swphreak
Unfortunately, the latest harddrive format has erased GB/CC and I left the discs at home... but if anyone has the TMO Beta, Battlefront, Master of Orion 3, or Battle for Middle Earth, I'll be happy to play a multiplayer game. DK_Viceroy
It would be a pleasure to continue Vostok, do you have BFME yet? My Wolves shall enjoy feasting on everyone as Uruk-hai destroy all before them, after the game has been patched of course, the good side heroes are a little "potent" to say the least. I posted up a date and time site somewhere in either this thread or the other battle thread, if you can find it Vostok your most welcome to use it and come up with another time. Admiral Vostok
I believe that time was something like 8am Brisbane time on Sunday morning. However since that's early tomorrow morning and I'm not sure if anyone will show get this message in time it's best we leave it until next week. DK_Viceroy
It's good to have the master of Side Stepping back, did you get BFME then?
Admiral Vostok
No, I have not yet got BFME. I hope to get it in the next couple of weeks. I'm in the middle of moving house at the moment so things are a bit hectic.
DK_Viceroy
You strike me as either a Gonder Player or a Mordor players so you'll obviously pick Rohan just to wrong foot me when you get it It's an awesome game but it does njeeed patching
lukeiamyourdad
Actually he sounds like a Rohan player. Like with his fighter/bombers, he relies on speed.
DK_Viceroy
Well I play Isengard because I rely on flooding with a strong Eco, plus I upgrade that's why I'm not Mordor especially while Gandalf can kill a Nazgul with ease, it seriously needs a patch. lukeiamyourdad
Well they do have their mighty Mumakils. Not even Gandalf can kill it in 1 shot. Except when he's level 10. But seriously, Gandalf should cost more. Right now he's way too cheap for what he can do.
DK_Viceroy
I think the Good side heroes need a serious nerf as well as ents while Evil Side heroes need a serious buff, Saruman is far weaker than gandalf yet he wiped the floor with Gandalf in Isengard, if the two had had another battle it would have been different. Mumakil are a little too easily countered by fire arrows while Ents are rediculously resistant despite being weak against them.
swphreak
That was Gandalf the Grey that Saruman wiped the floor with. For 2 points, you can get Gandalf the White as for Ents. If you get enough fire arrows, you can kill them pretty quickly. I actually think it's fine the way it is (besides an AI upgrade). Perhaps Saruman can get a boost, but the Nazgul are fine. It's like having 3 eagles for unlimited time. They also have their screech. Lurtz arrow attack can trap Gandalf and the rest of your army can proceed to bombard him. I've lost Gandalf once, and that was a silly mistake <.<
