Karkianman101
it just started up recently. in single player, it either crashes when the level is loading, or within a few seconds of playing. in multiplayer, it often crashes while loading, but if it loads, then i can get a little play in before it crashes. it happens every single time i play now. every. single. and to be a bit more specific, it usually turns off my mouse and monitor, and freezes my computer (no ctrl alt dlt twice stuff), so i have to manually restart, though it will occasionally restart instead of crash. any help at all is vastly appreciated, as i would like to keep playing it. afaik, this is only a problem with jedi academy. i have the patched version. 9700 pro video card, athlon 1900+ proccessor 512 mb of ram motherboard and power supply are from 2001 sound card is santa cruz 5.1 windows xp

Amidala from Chop Shop
Just like any other cop, TK-8252 is never around when you need him... He would have told you that this should have been posted in the Technical Help forum, it would have gotten more responses. First try moving all downloaded .pk3 files out of your base folder. Try running the game in its Safe Mode.
Karkianman101
i removed the .pk3, but the game wouldnt start then, so i popped em back in. i also tried safe mode, with semi good results. i got about a minute of play time in single player, just enough to finish the mission, and then it crashed during the debriefing. Not all of the .pk3 files, just any that you downloaded (the ones that DON'T begin with assets...pk3). manoman81
Do a full uninstall. Also, remember to remove the demo if you got it. Do you have any other programs running when you try to play the game? Also, make sure you're not using a CD crack... Finally, make sure you have updates drivers for everything. It is looking for them in the E:\GameData/demo folder for some reason, and can't find any there. Did you try to install to your E:\ drive earlier or something? Uninstall and reinstall to the default directory (usually something like C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Academy\..blah blah). Then apply the patch (I would copy the patch file to your GameData folder and run it from there).
