Guest Eliminator
I use a Microsoft Sidewinder gamepad (The original black one) Somehow, I can only play flight sims with gamepads, I just can't do too well with joysticks. I usually alternate between my original black one and my Microsoft game pad pro (That slick-ass grey one with analog) ------------------ XWL Owns all, and you all know it. :-)
Guest DarthHulkster
I use an Advanced Gravis Blackhawk joystick. I love it.
Guest Darth Massacator
Yeah, I used to have a Gravis Firebird 2. That was a good joystick, it had everything I wanted but durability. And I treated it with a lot of care. So when it went on the fritz after only 1 year of serious X vs. T flying, I took a chance with the Saitek X35/36 Combo. It's over 2 years old now and still handles like new. I kind of wish I waited for the USB version, but I was really jonesing for a programmable joystick that could completely interface with windows. Nothing against Thrustmaster though. I use their wheels exclusively. If you stick with their higher-end models, they'll last as long as you want to play driving sims. Guest AceAzzameen
Gravis Gamepad Pro! I got it to use w/ EA Sports games, as it's exactly like the original Playstation controllers, which work so smoothly for EA games. I have tried joysticks & nothing satisfies me... I get much better turning with the gamepad, even though I don't get the precision. So my dogfighting is awesome! (as fellow RAL members will attest ) But my mineclearing & missle locking suck. I've been recommended to buy the Gravis Exterminator, since it's basically the Gamepad Pro w/ an analog stick too. I figure the analog could help my flying quite a bit. Just waiting to see if I get my summer job at Electronics Boutique, Software Etc., or Babbage's before I make any more purchases. Oh, and anyone know how many times we've had this convo the past 12-13 months? HAHA! ------------------ "With the blast shield down, I can't even see. How am I supposed to fight?" Guest Herman
Another vote for the Gravis Blackhawk! I broke one of the buttons, but replacement ones were cheap and easy to come by, and its solid metal stick (interior) means it wont be decapitated, like my other 2 cheaper ones were. ------------------ "Ten seconds to self-destruct..." Guest Blood
Suncom F-15 Talon and SFS Dual Throttle. Excellent stick... MUCH better than the MS Precision Pro or the Logitech Extreme Digital 3D I also have. Blood
Guest StarJumper
Got me a MS Sidewinder Precision Pro. Would've liked the Force Feedback, but thought it to be too expensive and the fact that the game itself would have to support Force Feedback, and it was my assumption there aren't too many games out there that have it.
