JediJohn Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 let us all mourn for the tatooinien eopie(i think i spelled it right) he/she did not make it into the game
Alegis Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 (for those who don't what the heck an eopie is) well they already got a tauntaun and a kaadu, its kinda similiar eh
Mountainforest Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Those aren't even fast, so they had a good reason for not including them in the game.
Dragnarr Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 I'd much rather have Fambaa, Dewback, Rancor, Bantha, Krayt Dragon and Ronto to be included
Mountainforest Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Originally posted by Dragnarr I'd much rather have Fambaa, Dewback, Rancor, Bantha, Krayt Dragon and Ronto to be included Those aren't very fast animals either. Why would somebody mount them?
Clone_Fighter Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Yeah.. Ride a rancor. How many will stop you then?...
Dragnarr Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Well not necessarily mount them, but I'd hope they would atleast be in the game as NPC elements. To bring more lifelike into the world
TK-8252 Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Originally posted by Clone_Fighter Yeah.. Ride a rancor. How many will stop you then?... A guy with a gun. All you'd have to do is shoot the rider.
Mountainforest Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Rancors would be nice NPC's, like the Aklay. However, this would make Geonosis an even more anti infantry map then it already is (with the lots of vehicles).
Clone_Fighter Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Point taken.... But then the rancor will rip him into pieces!!!
Mountainforest Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Originally posted by Clone_Fighter Point taken.... But then the rancor will rip him into pieces!!! Have it your way
Revlt Coranier Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 I think if you tried to mount a rancor without first taming it, it would eat you.
Clone_Fighter Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Shoot it in a toe (rebel as example) and run into a bunch of imps
joesdomain Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 I would of thought a non-playable krayt dragon and rancor would add something to any star wars game like this on a Tatoonie map. Also Rontos, Banthas, dewbacks, and eopies.
JediJohn Posted September 5, 2004 Author Posted September 5, 2004 i thought there were ridable banthas
joesdomain Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 I wish! Apaarently, Pandemic took all the realism out of the game and made barren planet maps with no life but the armies. Probably the same thing for Theed City and Mos eisley! No animals life and no citizens.
joesdomain Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 I went through the gameplay trailer of Mos Eisley map and I saw no animals or people just buildings, rocks, sand and the armies. You do have a non-moveable sand crawler and two background star destroyers playing in the atmosphere and a sarlacc pit but that is it.
Dragnarr Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 *aplauds for Pandemic studios for screwing up AGAIN*
BobaFett123456 Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 We still can't be positive that theres no civilians in the game. Tatooine has two maps anyway.Don't say anything about bad about Pandemic Studios either. Bobbys Helmet may use his godly might to defeat you. Mountainforest, cool new avator!!!!
Mountainforest Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 Mountainforest, cool new avator!!!! [/b] Thanks, though I can't take credit for making it. Antakah (my clanleader) did that. Anyway, this is a action game. No matter what you want in it to make it feel right, it will make the game slower. There may be a time in wich you can study the behaviour of insects on one of the trees on Endor, but that time isn't now. On the moment things should have a function. Buildings have a function, and some animals have a function too. Bantha's don't. They are slow, and riding them would be useless, so all people will try it once and then leave it. Making mountable Bantha's is a waste of time. I like to have it feel like starwars as much as you do, but remember lag doesn't feel like starwars anymore then the Bantha missing.
WICKET_STBF Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 Wampa would be nice too!! Like in Hoth you go in a place with your friends and a bunch of wampa is trying to kill you(that would be nice) .
