Fangman
Can someone tell me where to get a mod that: Allows you to get a skill point more often, it's every 4 or 5 levels by deafult, is there a way to get it every 2 levels etc. If you could point me to a tutorial, that would be just as good Thanks

It's called the "Play as a Scoundel/Sentinel" mod . Seriously though, what you're looking for can be accomplishted with a few simple edits to a couple of tables. What are you hoping for specifically? Lorden Darkblade
That would be a very nice but simple MOD

Achilles, I think he meant "Attribute Point" not skill, 'cause you do get attribute points every 4 levels.
Fangman
Sorry, i did mean Attribute Points, What I mean, is that instead of getting 1 Attribute Point every 4 levels (max of 5 though the game), you get one every 2 levels or so. That way you get a bigger change over time. I do not want to cheat and put my stats up to 255, that would destroy the whole "hmm, what should I put my Attribute Point into???" Thanks

Thanks I'm at work right now, so I don't have KT in front of me. Bear with me. If you open up KT and look under BIFs>2da.bif>2d Array you should see classes.2da or something like it. IIRC, you can change the attribute point schedule here. If that isn't it, let me know and I'll verify which 2da file you need when I get home. I hope that helps. EDIT: BTW, great catch Mono. I post that after pulling an all nighter working on my new lightsaber mod, so I wasn't operating at peak capacity Thanks!

Sgt. Strike
You can also edit them in using Kotor's Save Game Editor, found at http://www.pcgamemod.com (If someone has a more precise location, you either edit my post, and place it there [this is for the moderators], or place it in your own post ) You can edit your character's stats, feats, etc. All without "cheating." I don't consider that cheating, but rather enhancement to my character(s) when I need them.
Fangman
I've checked Classes.2da and did not find Attribute Schedual. I have used the save game editor, but I would rather find out how to do what I origanal wanted. BTW, Thanks for the input so far.

*Yoinked*
Also, the thread here talks about T7's epic classes mod (i don't think it modifies the attributes but you could ask T7 to change it so it does).
deathdisco
I think it's hard coded into the game. I could be wrong:confused:

Sgt. Strike
I forget what tool it is that you can see what memory changes you are making when running a program, but there is one out there, somewhere. I forget the name of it, as well. But you use this in conjunction with KSE, and you should be able to find what you want to change. You may also want to e-mail the person who wrote KSE, and see if they can help you out as to where the stats are. I call them stats, or attributes, but they both mean the same thing, it's your strength, intelligence, etc. Also, take a look for attributes, somewhere with what you are trying to edit. I am sure it might be in there, somewhere. Atrributes are a different category than skills, feats, and force powers. This may help some in locating them. It's not perfect, but I'd say it's worth a shot. Also, asking T7 for a mod isn't a bad idea either. Anyway, adding my two cents before I go to bed. Darkkender
After much extensive searching through every nook and crany script file and 2da file I can tell you without a doubt that the attribute points have to be a hard coded element. While I personally am not one for wanting to change the core advancement elements that are a part of the d20 role playing system especially with the Pen and Paper mod in the works. I have been trying to locate the attribute point factor for the character creation process so as to allow a player with higher attributes at creation.(you don't know how close I have come to opening my hex editor and telling it to open kotor.exe file.) So unless somebody that is not me wants to change source code chalk this up to something that cannot be modded.
Darkkender
ok after writing my last post I realized the loop hole that is still out there you change the recomended stats in the classes.2da file I would avoid going over 18 I haven't tryed it but I would imagine there might be an error if you change this. but anyways you can change the recommended stats to all 18's for your three core classes soldier, scout, & scoundrel then when you make a new character after putting the classes.2da in overides of course choose the quick character option it will set all your stats to 18's. And the game excepts this with no problem.
Sgt. Strike
I was only saying that you can try to do that, or you can try to do it simple. I like doing something simple. That's why I suggested the KSE. It's a good tool. I like, and it's fun to use.

I hope this helps!
Darkkender
well I was saying that from the perspective of when you create your character it won't let you go over 18 in any one stat. That and they did such an F***ed up job of translating the d20 system character creation over to the computer game that if your not familiar with the pen and paper version of the star wars role playing game that when you look at skill advancement and force powers and feats not to mention useful elements that they nerfed like ac bonuses and the jedi bonuses to damage with lightsabers that they didn't include that it is enough to make you sick and ready to hurl. Oh and don't get me going on there skill points advancement mess up. you give computer game developers rock solid straight forward elements and they will take shortcuts that make some of us sick. sorry for popping like that.
