MASTERPLAU
IT SAYS ON THE BOX THAT IT WOULD SUPPORT A HEADSET. WHAT THE HELL AM I GOIN TO WEAR A HEADSET, WHEN THERE IS NO BUTTON TO PUSH, LIKE IN SOCOM... THIS IS JUST ONE OF THE MANY QUIRKS THEY SHOULD RESOLVE... MUHAHAHAHAHA
Hey, look at the bright side of this. You won't have to listen to 12 year-olds screaming at the top of their lungs. Voicechat in a game is a touch-and-go subject. It can be very useful if you're playing with a group of friends, or if you have decent teammates, or it can bring out the worst type of llama/smacktard/griefer - the loud and obnoxious one. I hope that if it is added, it is done right - allow the user to ignore others, mute the lamers, etc.
Iceman_IX
As much as people may decry CounterStrike, it's current form of voicechat is very nice. Can mute whoever, it works, not very buggy, and adds to the game with server options for all-talk, team-talk, etc. I'd enjoy this as an added feature though I highly doubt it will ever be. THE BADGER:
I have not got mine in the mail yet. So there is no voice chat on any platform or just PC? I am getting the PS2 version.
BlueDevil_TAW
Ok lets relax and really think about this. Besides the issue with them saying it will be supported (even though it does not or it does not clarify exactly how it is supported because I have played several games that were not voice supported and programs like TS RW vent etc simply would not work with those games) Is it really a bad thing that its not included in the game? I was actually horrified when I heard about it because I want to control who I hear and what kind of stuff I have to hear while I am trying to relax and have fun. Oh sure the easy answer is to simply mute them. But why should we have to? Not to mention if you have to mute alot of punks (regardless of age) you never know when you are talking over them especially in an important tactical situation. Not to mention the chaos created by 32 people shouting over comms without any discipline. Sure you can communicate to everyone that is playing easier. But with all the negatives is it really worth it? For me personally no way. I am actually pleased that this feature is not in the game and I can continue using TS with my team where I have control over the people on it, and I dont have all the other BS that would have been associated with a voice option built in. I am actually very pleased with this development.
Whoopknacker
I realize that they have so much lag and multiplayer issues with this thing that voicechat would throw a nice wrench into the whole thing. I think that there will likely be a patch that will smooth out the multiplayer features and likely add voice chat. Until then I play single player mostly. And oh yeah please I hope they clean up the interiors of the vechiles, most of them are sick to look at. I feel sorry for the Xbox and PS2 guys who dont get updates. italegion
the end word "- Voice issues ? We're researching the issues that some people are experiencing with voice chat. We're also looking into ways to improve voice chat for the PS2. Since there are several voice choices on the PC (Roger Wilco or Teamspeak), we made the decision late in development to remove voice chat support for the PC version. However, we are investigating alternative communication methods such as voice commands for the PC version. Stingray
Nice find, Ital. This clears up a lot of things and we now know what things they are working on. That they removed voice chat is a scandal, but I guess we'll need to live with it.

MASTERPLAU
VOICE CHAT WORKS AMAZINGLY ON THE PS2... NO BUTTONS, NO NOTHING.. JUST TALK INTO THE HEADSET... REVOLUTIONARY... THE ONLY DOWNSIDE, PLAYING WITH PEOPLE EATING, PEOPLE GETTING YELLED AT IN THE BACKGROUND... BASICALLY, BACKGROUND NOISES REALLY MESS THE WHOLE THING UP, ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE KIDS WITH ALOT OF NOTHING TO SAY.... I DONT KNOW WHY EVERYONE IS COMPLAINING ABOUT.. BUT IT ALL SEEMS EXCELLENT NOW !!!
