Dragonball Fan
No. It's dead already. The only reason to get the game is if you have 8-10 good friends that play it.
Silver X
Do you think the game would run good on my PC?
lukeiamyourdad
Absolutely. If you can run Age of Kings, you can run Galactic Battlegrounds. You'll run it fine.
Majin Boba Fett
I highly recommend this game.
DK_Viceroy
of course you should get this game. Classics never die and this game certainly is a Classic.
Sithmaster_821
This game comes highly recommended if you like any of the below: RTS's (specifically of the AoE variety) Star Wars Underrated games All three! I cannot tell you enough how much you should get this game.
Silver X
I seen this game for $10 and I want to save my money for SW RC and what speed do you need to play this game online?
Majin Boba Fett
I'm not 100% sure, but it shouldn't take much.
DarthMuffin
The minimum processor requirement is P2. You have a P4. I'll let you do the math. 32 RAM minimum is just found in every decent computer. 64 RAM recommended is not hard to get. Graphic card is 2 MB, 4 recommended. Even the lower comps have at least 8. For multiplayer, the minimum speed is 28.8Kbps... Any "normal" 56k modem will do it. But should you get the game? I think yes. You certainly won't enjoy it as much as we did when it came out though. With all the newer RTS titles out there, you should only get the game if you're a true SW fan. As far as multiplayer goes, you can play in the forum's weekly game (see sticky above) or search for a decent game on the zone (good luck). Dragonball Fan
I enjoy the game... but it's dead. All my friends left and now there's an even better RTS out there, BFME. So, unless you wanna be with a bunch of idiots don't get this game. it's dead, completely dead.
saberhagen
It's not completely dead. Even now when it's over 3 years old there are stil a few people playing on the zone, and you should be able to get RM games at weekends. If you want something cheap and fun that runs on anything then get it. The new RTS games are all resource monsters. DoW and BFME are much better looking than SWGB but I doubt that you can run them very well on a 1.6.

Most people on the zone *might* be idiots, but those who play on the weekend games here at geebee.com are not. Sure it's a little late to get the game, but you can still enjoy at least one MP game a week. maybe more if you're lucky on the zone.
Dragonball Fan
I used to be able to get 5-6 good games a night. One game a week just doesn't cut it. =P

sharpyC
I'd recommend you get the game, me and my friends still play this game over a direct IP connection, and with all the mods and player created maps out their, this game has a long life ahead of it as long as people keep pumping out new maps and mods. When i'm not playing against a human player, i play against player made AI's, mainly ballbarians AI. For the price your going to pay for it, I think its worth it.
